The Godfather Part II is a 1974 American crime film produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola from a screenplay co-written with Mario Puzo, starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. Partially based on Puzo's 1969 novel The Godfather, the film is both sequel and prequel to The Godfather, presenting parallel dramas: one picks up the 1958 story of Michael Corleone (Pacino), the new Don of the Corleone crime family, protecting the family business in the aftermath of an attempt on his life; the prequel covers the journey of his father, Vito Corleone (De Niro), from his Sicilian childhood to the founding of his family enterprise in New York City.
The compelling sequel to "The Godfather", contrasting the life of Corleone father and son. Traces the problems of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) in 1958 and that of a young immigrant Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) in 1917's Hell's Kitchen. Michael survives many misfortunes and Vito is introduced to a life of crime.
After a big fight with other Party, the young leader finally grew up and become the real big boss, but he wasn’t happy about this. Crossed leg on the chair, he stayed alone in a comfortable gesture under a dimlight, thinking about the past. There is a cup of coffee, roses in full bloom in a white vase and a candlestick phone on the side table. And only the French bulldog would never leave him no matter his a young leader or the big boss.

DID 1/6th scale Roger Moore as James Bond (Officially Licensed) 12-inch collectible figure
Sir Roger George Moore, KBE (14 October 1927 – 23 May 2017) was an English actor. He is best known for having played Ian Fleming's British secret agent James Bond in seven feature films from 1973 to 1985. Moore took over the role of Bond from Sean Connery in 1972, made his first appearance as 007 in Live and Let Die (1973), and went on to portray the spy in six more films until his retirement from the role in 1985. He also played Simon Templar in the television series The Saint from 1962 to 1969 and Lord Brett Sinclair in The Persuaders! from 1971 to 1972 with Tony Curtis.
Live and Let Die (1973) is the eighth spy film in the James Bond series to be produced by Eon Productions, and the first to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. Live and Let Die was released during the height of the blaxploitation era, and many blaxploitation archetypes and clichés are depicted in the film, including derogatory racial epithets ("honky"), black gangsters, and pimpmobiles. It departs from the former plots of the James Bond films about megalomaniac super-villains, and instead focuses on drug trafficking, a common theme of blaxploitation films of the period. It is set in African American cultural centres such as Harlem and New Orleans, as well as the Caribbean Islands.
DID is pleased to announce that they have been licensed by Roger Moore's Family and the famous Photographer Terry O' Neill to produce and release their first 1/6th scale Roger Moore 12-inch figure from Live and Let Die (1973). DID RM001 1/6th scale Roger Moore 12-inch collectible figure Parts list: Super realistic head sculpt, 12-inch figure Body, Palms for holding pistol, Black T-shirt, Black pants, Black belt (geniune leather), Black socks, Shoes, Brown holster (geniune leather), Revolver with 6 bullets (metal), DID base stand.

DID 1/6th scale '90s LAPD SWAT “Kenny” 12" Action Figure Review - Keanu Reeves in Speed
continued from previous toy blog post HERE...
"Pop quiz, hotshot. There's a bomb on a bus. Once the bus goes 50 miles an hour, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. What do you do? What do you do?" Howard Payne
Speed is a 1994 American action thriller film directed by Jan de Bont in his feature film directorial debut. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper, Sandra Bullock, Joe Morton, Alan Ruck, and Jeff Daniels. It became a surprise critical and commercial success (the film grossed a worldwide total of $350.5 million, well above its $30 million production budget), winning two Academy Awards, for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing, at the 67th Academy Awards in early 1995. The film tells the story of an LAPD cop who tries to rescue civilians on a city bus rigged with a bomb programmed to explode if the bus slows down.
It has taken 23 years for this 1/6th scale Keanu Reeves as Los Angeles police officer Jack Traven 12-inch figure to be realised! No other company has attempted to produce a 12-inch Keanu wearing his civvies with his assault vest equipped with his EOD tools. There were a few 1/6th scale LAPD SWAT figures bearing some likeness to Keanu Reeves released but none of him in civvies until now. Keanu Reeves is much older now and a 12-inch John Wick figure would be most appropriate to show him then and now. Let's get back to this DID MA1003 1/6th scale '90s LAPD SWAT “Kenny” 12-inch action figure which is pretty well made.

First haul in June: DID 1/6th scale '90s LAPD SWAT “Kenny” 12-inch figure aka Keanu Reeves
This is my first haul for June 2017: DID MA1003 1/6th scale '90s LAPD SWAT “Kenny” 12-inch action figure which is essentially Keanu Reeves as Los Angeles police officer Jack Traven in the 1994 American action thriller film "Speed". Los Angeles police officer Jack (Keanu Reeves) angers retired bomb squad member Howard Payne (Dennis Hopper) by foiling his attempt at taking hostages. In revenge, Payne arms a bus with a bomb that will explode if it drops below 50 miles per hour. With the help of spunky passenger Annie (Sandra Bullock), Jack and his partner Harry (Jeff Daniels) try to save the people on the bus before the bomb goes off, while also trying to figure out how Payne is monitoring them.
I first saw this figure previewed at the Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2016 - check out the post on my toy blog HERE. DID released the official prototype pictures in March 2017 (see the pics HERE) and although this figure is really late arriving at the scene (the film was released 23 years ago), I think it's still worth the wait. I am more interested in the figure wearing plain clothes with EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) vest than the LAPD SWAT figure since many SWAT figures have been released already and I myself have quite a number of them in my collection. Check out my post on 1/6th scale S.W.A.T. 12-inch Action Figures HERE.

DID's MA1003 1/6th scale '90s LAPD SWAT “Kenny” 12-inch action figure looks like it's inspired by Keanu Reeves' Jack Traven character in Speed. I had seen this figure being previewed at last year's Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2016 - check out the toy blog post HERE - and am glad it's finally getting ready to be released. DID 1/6th scale WWII U.S. Army 29th Infantry Division Radio Operator "Paul" 12-inch figure
The 29th Infantry Division (29th I.D.), also known as the "Blue and Gray", is an infantry division of the United States Army based in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. It is a formation of the United States Army National Guard and contains units from Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina.
Formed in 1917, the division deployed to France as a part of the American Expeditionary Force during World War I. Called up for service again in World War II, the division's 116th Regiment, attached to the First Infantry Division, was in the first wave of troops ashore during Operation Overlord, the landings in Normandy, France. It supported a special Ranger unit tasked with clearing strong points at Omaha Beach. The rest of the 29th ID came ashore later then advanced to Saint-Lô, and eventually through France and into Germany itself. These actions have since been the subject of many motion pictures and video games.
Radio operators play a very important role in military communication, which is the transmission of information from reconnaissance and other units in contact with the enemy and the means for exercising command by the transmission of orders and instructions of commanders to their subordinates. As such, it comprises all means of transmitting messages, orders, and reports, both in the field and at sea and between headquarters and distant installations or ships. Military communication has thus long played an important role in warfare.

DID 1/6th U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division Military Police "BRYAN" figure aka Ross Geller
The 2nd Armored Division ("Hell on Wheels") was an armored division of the United States Army. The 2nd Armored Division was formed at Fort Benning, Georgia on 15 July 1940. It was originally commanded by Major General Charles L. Scott, with Colonel George S. Patton in charge of training. Scott was promoted to command the I Armored Corps in November of that year, which put Patton, now a brigadier general, in command of the division. The division played an important role during World War II in the invasions of North Africa and Sicily and the liberation of France, Belgium, and the Netherlands and the invasion of Germany.
Military police (MP) are law enforcement agencies connected with, or part of, the military of a state. The status of military police is usually prominently displayed on the helmet and/or on an armband, brassard, or arm or shoulder flash.
DID 1/6th scale U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division Military Police "BRYAN" figure Features: Head Sculpt, Male Figure Body, Hand Assortment, M41 field jacket, Pants, Shirt, Scarf, Tie, Pistol Belt, X Harness, M43 buckle boots (genuine leather), Thompson M1 SMG, Thompson magazines x3, M1911 pistol with magazine, Bayonet with sheath, EE8-A Field Radio with leather case, Baton, Whistle with chain, MP helmet, Flashlight, Pistol holster (made of leather), Thompson 5-pocket ammunition pouch, M1911 mag pouch, Goggles, Sunglasses, Canteen with cover, First Aid pouch, Insignia. NOTE: Motorcycle not included (display only)
The head sculpt has an incredible likeness to David Schwimmer who played Ross Geller in the NBC sitcom Friends. He also played Captain Herbert M. Sobel in Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks' HBO World War II miniseries Band of Brothers, a role not suited for him due to the fact that as Ross Geller, David Schwimmer was a fan favorite and Captain Herbert M. Sobel wasn't popular for his hard and cruel ways.

Seen@STGCC2016 Part 3: Other 1/6th scale figures - Hulk Hogan, SPEED Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise Last Samurai and others
continued from previous toy blog post...
Besides Hot Toys (see my part 1 post HERE) and XM Studios (previous post), there were other exhibitors as well at the just concluded Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2016 which was held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, Level B2, Halls E & F from 10 to 11 September. These are some of the pictures I've taken of the other figures on display. I didn't take photos of every figure as some companies like Dam Toys basically showed all the figures they have already produced and released, and nothing new on display, not even their convention exclusive figure previewed earlier HERE.
This Hulk Hogan figure certainly caught my attention. It's Storm Collectibles 1/4th scale Hulkamania statue and it looks pretty awesome. Hulk Hogan is an American professional wrestler who enjoyed mainstream popularity in the 1980s and 1990s in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) as Hulk Hogan. IGN described Hogan as "the most recognized wrestling star worldwide and the most popular wrestler of the 1980s". Storm Collectibles also showed off their 1/6th scale Hulk Hogan 12-inch collectible figure as well as Mike Tyson and Ong-Bak (see pictures below). Other figures seen include 1/6th scale Keanu Reeves as Officer Jack Traven from the 1994 American action thriller film "Speed" and Tom Cruise as Captain Nathan Algren from the 2003 American epic historical war film "The Last Samurai".

DID WWII US 2nd Armored Division "Hell-on-Wheels" SSGT Donald aka Fury's "Wardaddy"
No prizes for guessing who this latest DID 1/6th scale WWII U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division "Hell-on-Wheels" SSGT Donald 12-inch action figure is based on. It certainly took them long enough.
Fury is a 2014 American war film set during World War II written and directed by David Ayer. The film stars Brad Pitt as US Army SSG Don "Wardaddy" Collier, Shia LaBeouf as T/5 Boyd "Bible" Swan, Logan Lerman as PVT Norman "Machine" Ellison, Jon Bernthal as PFC Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis, Michael Peña as CPL Trini "Gordo" Garcia, Jason Isaacs as CPT "Old man" Waggoner, and Scott Eastwood as SGT Miles.
The film is set during the last month of the European Theater of war during World War II in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push into Nazi Germany, a battle-hardened U.S. Army Staff Sergeant in the 66th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division named Don "Wardaddy" Collier (Brad Pitt) commands an M4A3E8 Sherman tank called Fury and its five-man, all-veteran crew, consisting of Boyd "Bible" Swan (Shia LaBeouf), gunner, Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis (Jon Bernthal), loader and Trini "Gordo" Garcia (Michael Peña), driver. After losing the assistant driver / bow gunner in battle, he gets a recently enlisted typist, Norman Ellison (Logan Lerman), as a replacement.
This DID offering of "Wardaddy" may be two years late (it's already mid-2016) but it's certainly the BEST World War II U.S. Army Tanker figure ever produced. Dragon Models Limited teased a Wardaddy figure (see my toy blog post HERE) but I've never seen it. Max Toys previewed their version in 2015 (check out the preview pictures HERE). I even attempted to kitbash 1:6 scale Brad Pitt as WWII U.S. Army staff sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier 12-inch military figure - posted HERE but this upcoming release by DID blows them all to bits. The 1/6th scale Rawlings (M-1938) tanker helmet is made up of over 70 different parts including fabric, plastic and real leather (see pictures below)!

DID Los Angeles Police Dept Metropolitan Division (LAPD SWAT) 2.0 POINT-MAN "Denver"
The Los Angeles Police Department , also known as Metro, is an elite division within the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The Metro Division, which also contains LAPD's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, contains seven platoons of specially-trained police officers. It is tasked with numerous crime-fighting duties including solving major crimes, surveillance, providing counter-terrorism details and attending high-risk barricaded situations, such as a hostage situation.
While not the first to use specially trained units, the LAPD was the first to form a specific SWAT team, and originally created the term, "Special Weapons And Tactics". John Nelson was the LAPD officer who came up with the idea to form a specially trained and equipped unit in the LAPD, intended to respond to and manage critical situations involving shootings while minimizing police casualties. In 1967, Nelson's CO, then-Inspector Daryl F. Gates approved this idea, and he formed a small select group of volunteer officers. This first SWAT unit initially consisted of fifteen teams of four men each, for a total staff of sixty. These officers were given special status and benefits. They were required to attend special monthly training. This unit also served as a security unit for police facilities during times of civil unrest.
This is DID's upcoming release: MA1006 will be a 1/6th scale Los Angeles Police Police Department Special Weapons And Tactics (LAPD SWAT) 2.0 POINT-MAN Denver 12-inch action figure. DID has been churning out some great stuff and this looks to be ranked as one of them. This is not the first 1:6 scale LAPD SWAT action figure to be released by DID. Back in May 2014, they had released a LAPD SWAT Assaulter 12-inch figure with Ryan Gosling head sculpt (see the preview pictures HERE) and follows up on that release with this Point-man figure.

Preview Wild Toys 1:6 scale MI-6 Agent "Paul" 12-inch figure - Pierce Brosnan as James Bond
In 1994, Pierce Brosnan became the fifth actor to portray secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions film series, starring in four films from 1995 to 2002 (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day). He lent his likeness for Bond in the video games James Bond 007: Nightfire and James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing, providing his voice too for the latter.
There are twenty-four James Bond films produced by EON Productions and distributed by United Artists and MGM. The first, Dr. No was released in 1962 and the twenty-fourth installment, Spectre, was only released recently; making it one of the longest-running film series of all time. There are also two additional James Bond films, Casino Royale (1967) and Never Say Never Again as well as a single TV production of Casino Royale. A total of six actors have played the role of James Bond, a British Secret Service agent given the code number 007.
Brosnan portrayed a Bond for the 1990s — technologically and culturally savvy. The 1995 film GoldenEye also brought on Judi Dench as M and was met with the highest attendance rates since Moore's films. Brosnan's success continued with 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies, 1999's The World Is Not Enough and 2002's Die Another Day.
Wild Toys 1:6 scale MI-6 Agent "Paul" 12-inch figure does bear a resemblance to Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, dressed in his smart tuxedo suit and armed with a pistol, although I'm not too sure if that's his signature pistol.

At this juncture, I would like to apologize to fellow collectors / friends / readers / followers who might have been waiting for my review of a particular figure but have yet to see the post on my toy blog :( The thing is, although toy collecting is my obsession and blogging about toys is my passion, circumstances just doesn't allow me to post a review of every toy / figure I've gotten so far even though that's what I really want to do. So please be patient with me as I do my best to cover all the toys I've gotten. As the saying goes, "So many toys, so little time." Once again, sorry for taking a while to get to the reviews.

Incoming: DID 1/6 scale LAPD SWAT 12-inch figure with Ryan Gosling head sculpt - NICE!
There have been quite a number of 1/6 scale S.W.A.T. figures released over the years but none as detailed, complete and updated as this latest preview by DID. This is one of the most impressive SWAT sets ever announced. This guy is loaded with a ton of tactical gear that I haven't seen on previous SWAT figure releases.
DID's 1/6 scale LAPD SWAT 12-inch figure comes fully equipped with everything you can almost imagine (except the kitchen sink) and is the most modern and updated S.W.A.T. figure I've ever come across. I've collected quite a number of S.W.A.T. 12-inch figures over the years (see my post HERE) with the most recent being the Hot Toys 12-inch GCPD (Gotham City Police Department) S.W.A.T. figure (pictures HERE) but nothing beats this latest offering by DID.
What's even better? This DID LAPD SWAT 12-inch figure comes with a 1/6 scale Ryan Gosling head sculpt :) Scroll down to see the pictures. Drooling ;p - - -

Preview DID 1/6 scale USMC Force Recon Brigadier General "Frank" 12-inch figure
The Rock is a 1996 action film that primarily takes place on Alcatraz Island and in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was directed by Michael Bay, director of Bad Boys and Pearl Harbor, produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, producers of Top Gun and Crimson Tide, and stars Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris.
A group of rogue U.S. Force Recon Marines led by disenchanted Brigadier General Frank Hummel (Ed Harris) seize a stockpile of deadly VX gas–armed M55 rockets from a heavily guarded US Navy bunker, reluctantly leaving one of their men to die in the process, when a bead of the gas falls and breaks. The next day, Hummel and his men, along with more renegade Marines led by Captains Frye (Gregory Sporleder) and Darrow (Tony Todd), seize control of Alcatraz during a guided tour and take 81 tourists hostage in the prison cells.
Hummel threatens to launch the stolen rockets against the population of San Francisco unless the government pays them $100 million from a military slush fund containing money from illegal arms sales, which he will distribute to his troops and the families of Recon Marines who died on clandestine missions under his command and whose deaths were not honored.

Incoming: DID 1/6 scale 1930s Chicago Gangster is Johnny Depp as Dillinger in Public Enemies?
Public Enemies is a 2009 American biographical-crime film directed by Michael Mann and written by Mann, Ronan Bennett and Ann Biderman. It is an adaptation of Bryan Burrough's non-fiction book Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933–34. Set during the Great Depression, the film chronicles the final years of the notorious bank robber John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) as he is pursued by FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale), and his relationship with Billie Frechette (Marion Cotillard), as well as Purvis' pursuit of Dillinger associates and fellow criminals Homer Van Meter (Stephen Dorff) and Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham).
This is DID's new preview of their next release - a 1/6th scale 1930s Chicago Gangster "John" with obvious reference to Johnny Depp's John Dillinger character as seen in "Public Enemies"
The 1/6 scale head sculpt of 1930s Chicago Gangster "John" is pretty good in likeness to Johnny Depp in some angles and not so in others but overall, the stitching and make of the striped suit is superb! The miniature Tommy gun (Thompson submachine gun, caliber .45) is excellent, as is the violin case used for storing it - scroll down to see the pictures :)

Coming soon: DID 1/6 British Military Intelligence Section 6 (MI6) Agent "Jack" 12-inch Spy Figure
Well, DID did it again ;p they managed to put out a very secret agent figure under the guise of a MI6 agent and named him "Jack" to avoid all the hoo-ha just in case. Wait... what? Instead of James, it's Jack and as for him being an MI6 Agent, that he has always been.
