The 2 of Club, Van Ness, was born in America. He was the orphan of Hong Wu’s top lieutenant, and was adopted by Hong since young age. Hong Wu put real efforts on him. Hao was smart and strong as well, soon to be trained to a Kong Fu master. He created his own set of swordsmanship combining Japanese Kanata and Chinese short stick. With that skillset, he outrun Sasaki of the other side and won the place of 2 of Club.

DID 1/6th scale Chicago Gangster 3.0 "Michael" (Al Pacino) 12-inch Action Figure Deluxe Version

The Godfather Part II is a 1974 American crime film produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola from a screenplay co-written with Mario Puzo, starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. Partially based on Puzo's 1969 novel The Godfather, the film is both sequel and prequel to The Godfather, presenting parallel dramas: one picks up the 1958 story of Michael Corleone (Pacino), the new Don of the Corleone crime family, protecting the family business in the aftermath of an attempt on his life; the prequel covers the journey of his father, Vito Corleone (De Niro), from his Sicilian childhood to the founding of his family enterprise in New York City.

The compelling sequel to "The Godfather", contrasting the life of Corleone father and son. Traces the problems of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) in 1958 and that of a young immigrant Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) in 1917's Hell's Kitchen. Michael survives many misfortunes and Vito is introduced to a life of crime.

After a big fight with other Party, the young leader finally grew up and become the real big boss, but he wasn’t happy about this. Crossed leg on the chair, he stayed alone in a comfortable gesture under a dimlight, thinking about the past. There is a cup of coffee, roses in full bloom in a white vase and a candlestick phone on the side table. And only the French bulldog would never leave him no matter his a young leader or the big boss.

Terry Bogard is a video game character created by SNK, and is the main character of the Fatal Fury series. DAM TOYS Gangsters Kingdom 12-inch Diamond 5 "Ralap" and 1/6th scale wolf "Ghost"

After the action figure review of DAM TOYS Gangsters Kingdom Diamond 5 "Ralap" 12-inch figure HERE and his 1/6th scale pet wolf "Ghost" on my toy blog HERE, here's a look at the two of them together :)

Dam Toys certainly got around the Logan / Wolverine issue pretty well. This is NOT Wolverine of the X-Men and yet, one cannot help but only see Wolverine in the picture, even if the claws are not coming out of his hands but are actually Tekagi-shuko or Tiger Hook Hands which were one of the many kakushi buki or hidden weapons deployed by Ninjas.

DAM TOYS Gangsters Kingdom 1/6th scale Diamond 5 Ralap's facial expression is as Wolverine as one can get, from the snarling face and teeth to the unique hair-style and beard. There's just no mistaking this head sculpt for anyone else other than Logan (James Howlett) aka Wolverine even if he is supposedly "Ralap". Adding the 1/6th scale wolf into the mix is a nice touch.

Check out Chak's INGLEPARK comic & 1/6th scale Chicago 12-inch figure by Hidden Foo

I received these images and an email from Chak (chak@comicsandco.com), the comic book author of INGLEPARK. Not only is he releasing a comic, he has also collaborated with Chinese toy designer Hidden Foo (www.behance.net/Hidden_Foo) to produce a 1/6th scale action figure of the main character, Chicago.

In the district of INGLEPARK, the Outlawz are the law, Chicago is their leader. One night, stopped at a red light in the dark and dangerous streets of INGLEPARK, Chicago is shot in a failed carjacking attempt. At his funeral, a gunfight broke out between the Outlawz and thugs driving by, probably of the same crew as the killer. Dam Toys 2016 Exhibition Limited Product Gangsters Kingdom Side Story Neil 12" figure

Introducing the latest member to the Gangsters Kingdom series, just in time for Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2016 which will be held in Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, Level B2, Halls E & F from 10 to 11 September.

And there's no denying the head sculpt bears a strong resemblance to David Carradine (born John Arthur Carradine; December 8, 1936 – June 3, 2009), an American actor best known for his leading role as a peace-loving Shaolin monk, Kwai Chang Caine, in the 1970s television series Kung Fu. The show, which took place in the Old West, helped to popularize the martial arts and Eastern philosophy in the west, and immortalized the character of Kwai Chang Caine, also referred to as "Grasshopper", in popular culture. Carradine enjoyed a revival of his fame when he was cast in Quentin Tarantino's sequential Kill Bill movies, in 2003 and 2004, as Bill (Snake Charmer), former leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.

DAM TOYS Gangsters Kingdom 1/6th scale Diamond 5 "Ralap" 12-inch action figure review

This was part of my August 2016 haul (see the toy blog post HERE)

This is DAM TOYS Gangsters Kingdom series 1/6th scale Diamond 5 "Ralap" 12-inch action figure. Diamond 5 Ralap's backstory is that his parents were killed when he was 6 years old and he was raised by wolves. He was finally brought back to civilisation after 15 years and by then, he was just a wild beast clothed in human skin. And the gangs gladly took him in.

I don't know about you but I only saw one character when I look at this picture, and that is none other than Wolverine, a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly associated with the X-Men. The character first appeared in the last panel of The Incredible Hulk #180, with his first full appearance in #181 (cover-dated Nov. 1974). Wolverine's catchphrase pretty much sums up his character, "I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice." Wolverine is typical of the many tough antiheroes that emerged in American popular culture after the Vietnam War; his willingness to use deadly force and his brooding nature became standard characteristics for comic book antiheroes by the end of the 1980s. As a result, the character became a fan favorite of the increasingly popular X-Men franchise, and has been featured in his own solo comic since 1988.

Wolverine has appeared in most X-Men adaptations, including animated television series, video games, and the live-action 20th Century Fox X-Men film series, in which he is portrayed by Hugh Jackman in eight of the nine films. And Hot Toys has chosen to only release 1:6 scale Hugh Jackman Wolverine from the many X-Men films and none of the other X-Men characters because Wolverine seems to be the most demanded character, hence more profitable to produce and release than any other X-Men. Bite Me! Dam Toys Gangsters Kingdom 12-inch Heart 3 "Bartley" figure with 1/6th Rottweiler dog

The gang is growing... and so are the animals. This is the second 1/6th scale canine to be released by Dam Toys under their Gangsters Kingdom series. The first (a wolf) came with Diamond 5 (GK011) and it has just been released - see my August 2016 haul toy blog post HERE.

A little backstory (the actual one is extremely long and reads like a novel so I thought I'll spare you all the headache): The 3 of Heart, Bartley, used to be in the army. He was good at pimping back when he was in the force, introducing all kinds of women to soldiers and low-rank officers. After his discharge, he joined a small road gang. He had a little exotic bar running, which was quite profitable and famous around the locals. That was where he met Billy. With his natural-born eloquence, Bartley talked himself up and earned his chance to work for Billy.

Dam Toys' Gangsters Kingdom series 12-inch action figures all feature 1:6 scale caricaturish head sculpts which are more animated than real, with larger than life hands to match. The head sculpts are also of famous people, mostly actors although English football stars have not been spared. This latest head sculpt of Heart 3 "Bartley" bears a strong resemblance to Ron Perlman, best known for his roles as Vincent in the television series Beauty and the Beast (for which he won a Golden Globe), as the comic book character Hellboy in both 2004's Hellboy and its 2008 sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army, and as Clay Morrow in television series Sons of Anarchy.

August 2016 haul: DAM TOYS 1/6th Gangsters Kingdom Diamond 5 "Ralap" & Wolf + Bane

It has been a quiet month for me in August as well as I only got two items: DAM TOYS Gangsters Kingdom series 1/6th scale Diamond 5 "Ralap" 12-inch action figure and Wolf "Ghost" PLUS a custom-made 1/6th scale Bane head sculpt and costume set. I've been eagerly waiting for this set since it previewed in September 2015 (see the toy blog post HERE) and it has taken almost a year for this product to be released. The problem with pre-orders is that sometimes it takes so long for the figure to be released that by the time it gets made, the interest for that particular figure might have waned or is no longer there. In the old days, there was a lot of impulse buying. You see, you like, you buy. Nowadays however, you see, you like, you pre-order and wait for it to come. I guess Dam Toys must have their hands full with lots of products to release. I won't complain as long as it gets made. There have been quite a number of figures that were previewed (like the Iconic Toys "The Savior" figure - posted HERE) but never saw the light of day so I'm quite pleased this finally came.

The Custom-made 1/6th scale BANE Head and Costume set was previewed in May (check out the post HERE) so at least it didn't take that long to be produced. There's no branding whatsoever because it's custom-made and done in small quantities but the quality looks good. How good? As good as Hot Toys so that's something.
