E&S Special Air Service (SAS) Counter Revolutionary Warfare (CRW) Assaulter figure

The Special Air Service (SAS) is the British Army's most renowned Special Forces unit. The SAS can trace its existence back to 1941 when British Army volunteers conducted raids behind enemy lines in the North African Campaign of World War II. Currently the unit undertakes a number of roles including covert reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, direct action and hostage rescue.

Much of the information and actions regarding the SAS is highly classified, and is not commented on by the British government or the Ministry of Defence due to the sensitivity of their operations.

From the moment several black-clad figures appeared on the balconies of the Iranian Embassy in London in 1980, the Special Air Service became 'celebrities' both at home and overseas earning them the reputation as the worlds most elite Special Force. DID 1/6th scale Roger Moore as James Bond (Officially Licensed) 12-inch collectible figure

Sir Roger George Moore, KBE (14 October 1927 – 23 May 2017) was an English actor. He is best known for having played Ian Fleming's British secret agent James Bond in seven feature films from 1973 to 1985. Moore took over the role of Bond from Sean Connery in 1972, made his first appearance as 007 in Live and Let Die (1973), and went on to portray the spy in six more films until his retirement from the role in 1985. He also played Simon Templar in the television series The Saint from 1962 to 1969 and Lord Brett Sinclair in The Persuaders! from 1971 to 1972 with Tony Curtis.

Live and Let Die (1973) is the eighth spy film in the James Bond series to be produced by Eon Productions, and the first to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. Alert Line 1/6th WWII Royal Air Force Fighter Pilot 12-inch figure aka Tom Hardy in Dunkirk

Dunkirk is a 2017 war film written, directed, and co-produced by Christopher Nolan that depicts the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II. Dunkirk portrays the evacuation from three perspectives: land, sea, and air. It has little dialogue, as Nolan sought instead to create suspense from cinematography and music. It is the highest-grossing World War II film of all time, taking $525 million worldwide. Dunkirk received praise for its screenplay, direction, musical score, and cinematography; some critics called it Nolan's best work, and one of the greatest ever war films.

Tom Hardy portrays Farrier, a Royal Air Force Spitfire pilot who assumes command after their leader is shot down. The remaining two aircraft then save a minesweeper from a German bomber, but the other Spitfire is hit and ditches. Its pilot, Collins, is rescued by Moonstone. Farrier reaches Dunkirk, his fuel exhausted. Gliding over the beach, he shoots down a dive-bomber.

Review II: 2000 AD x ThreeA 1/6th scale Mega-City One JUDGE DREDD 12" Collectible Figure

This recently released 2000 AD x ThreeA 1/6th Scale JUDGE DREDD 12-inch Collectible Figure is really nice and stays true to the original comic magazine version of the most feared Mega-City One elite cop or judge empowered to dispense instant justice as judge, jury and executioner.

I've already done a first part action figure review of this figure in the earlier post HERE, covering the box packaging, instructions and figure with his Lawgiver Mk2 and daystick. The daystick is the Judges' version of the nightstick with a titanium core. Now I'm posting pictures of Dredd with with gritted teeth and Lawrod. Two Interchangeable Faces are provided: Standard Scowl and Gritted Teeth Expressions.

The lawrod rifle was the standard rifle carried by all street judges in a holster on the side of their lawmaster bikes. Lawrods are a powerful sniper rifle-like weapons. They pack a strong round of ammunition capable of a small explosion but are rarely used due to inaccuracy in the shot. This 1/6th scale Lawrod comes with removable ammo magazine and shoulder stock. ThreeA's 12-inch Judge Dredd figure also comes with Lawgiver Mk1 with removable ammo magazine and Lawgiver Mk2 with removable ammo magazine.

"I am the LAW!" 2000 AD x ThreeA 1/6th Scale JUDGE DREDD 12" Collectible Figure Review

Finally! After all these years, a 1/6th scale 2000 AD Judge Dredd 12-inch figure has been released. There have been two movies made of Judge Dredd but they were never the original version as seen in the 2000 AD British comic magazine. Following the two film premieres, 12-inch Judge Dredd figures from both films have been produced and reviewed on this toy blog but there's nothing like the original.

In the dystopian post-apocalyptic future of the 22nd century, crime runs rampant in Mega-City One. Here the people are policed by the Judges, elite cops prepared to do whatever it takes to keep the peace, even if it means sentencing criminals to death on the spot. Only the Judges can prevent total anarchy. Empowered to dispense instant justice, these lawmen are judge, jury and executioner. And the most feared of all the Judges is Judge Dredd.

This is the recently released 2000 AD x ThreeA 1/6th Scale JUDGE DREDD Collectible Figure and it is a beauty and also a beast! The beauty is in all the attention to the details and the wonderful accessories that come with this figure. The beast is the figure itself, a true interpretation and realization of the 2-D Judge Dredd into a 3-D masterpiece!

October Haul: 2000 AD x ThreeA 1/6th scale Judge Dredd & Marvel Legends Captain Britain

It's a British invasion! I got the 2000 AD x ThreeA 1/6th scale Judge Dredd 12-inch Collectible Figure and Hasbro 2016 released Marvel Legends Captain Britain action figure. One was a rather long wait and the other was just an impulse buy for the fun of it :)

2000 AD is a weekly British science fiction-orientated comic magazine. As a comics anthology it serialises stories in each issue and was first published by IPC Magazines in 1977, the first issue dated 26 February. 2000 AD is most noted for its Judge Dredd stories, and has been contributed to by a number of artists and writers who became renowned in the field internationally, such as Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, Brian Bolland and Mike McMahon.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a 2016 British-American fantasy film directed by David Yates. A spin-off of the Harry Potter film series, it was produced and written by J. K. Rowling in her screenwriting debut, and inspired by her 2001 book of the same name.

The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Action Figure Review of Blackbox Toys 1/6th scale Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond

I did two photo shoots of this Blackbox Toys 1/6th scale "Spectre" Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond 12-inch figure under different lighting conditions and they yielded different results. The previous post pictures were mostly shot in natural daylight whereas the pictures posted here were taken in a studio setting. The studio setting allows me to take pictures any time I want while shooting under natural light conditions means I can only shoot during the day when the sun is up.

I've always enjoyed taking pictures of my figures and that's how this blog got started. I wanted to share the figures I have, and the figures that are out there so that everyone who is a 1/6th scale collector or toy collector can have access to what's available in the market in order for them to be able to make the right decision on which toy or action figure to buy. I've gotten lots of nice feedback from like-minded people who have expressed their gratitude and appreciation for what I'm doing :) It's my passion that has kept me blogging all these years but words of encouragement are certainly great boosters.

This is undoubtedly the most definitive 1/6th scale Daniel Craig head sculpt I have ever seen or come across. There have been quite a number of 1/6th scale Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond 12-inch figures released over the years - check out my action figure reviews posted HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE. Many companies have tried to get the actor's likeness right but missed the mark until now. I'm glad not all the good sculptors are at Hot Toys or Blitzway, otherwise we'll be paying a lot more for this. It's nice to know great sculpts are still available with other companies.

Blackbox Toys 1/6th scale Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond in Spectre 12-inch figure Review 1

Spectre is the 24th instalment in the James Bond film series and the twenty-sixth overall. It is Daniel Craig's fourth performance as James Bond, and Christoph Waltz's first as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, with the film marking the character's re-introduction into the series. The story sees Bond pitted against the global criminal organisation SPECTRE and against their leader; Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who is revealed to be Bond's adoptive brother as he attempts to thwart his plan to launch a global surveillance network, and discovers Spectre and Blofeld were behind the events of the previous three films.

This is my second June 2017 haul after the DID 1/6th scale '90s LAPD SWAT “Kenny” 12-inch figure (posted earlier on my toy blog HERE). There have been quite a number of 1/6th scale Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond 12-inch figures released over the years - check out my action figure reviews posted HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE - but I haven't seen one in a Ivory tuxedo as worn by Daniel Craig in the 2015 James Bond film Spectre. Plus Blackbox Toys 1/6th scale Daniel Craig as James Bond head sculpt is the best likeness and closest to the actor so far.

Easy & Simple 1/6th scale British Specialist Firearms Command SCO19 12-inch figure

Specialist Firearms Command (SC&O19, SCO19 and previously known as SO19 and CO19) is a part of the Specialist Crime & Operations Directorate (SC&O) within London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). The Command is responsible for providing a firearms-response capability, assisting the rest of the service which is not routinely armed. They are full-time units whose members do not perform any other duties. On occasion, they have been referred to as the "blue berets", as they used to wear these. Today they are more likely to wear either blue baseball caps or combat helmets.
