Batman's other "Batmobile", driven when he has to hide in plain sight and what a beauty too

This is a re-post since the topic recently has been the various Batmobiles Hot Toys will be releasing in the coming months. I don't think Hot Toys will release this in 1:6th scale but you have to admit that based on the part this vehicle played in "The Dark Knight", this has to be counted as the OTHER Batmobile haha one that is hidden in plain sight ;p

Bruce Wayne saves Reese (who almost reveals Batman's true identity on television until The Joker intercedes and says he'll blow up a hospital in Gotham unless Reese is killed) when he uses his Lamborghini Murcielago to intercept an attempt on Reese's life.

Sideshow Collectibles Comic Con 2012 Exclusive Star Wars 1/6 Clone Commander Fox 12" Figure

"When will you fools learn? No one escapes from Commander Fox."

During the Clone Wars, Count Dooku placed a bounty on the heads of all the members of the Galactic Senate. As most of the senators resided on Coruscant, their protection fell on the shoulders of the famed Coruscant Guard. Their commander, CC-1010 nicknamed Fox led missions to rescue Senator Padme Amidala and protect Shayla Paige-Tarkin. Protecting the senators also meant hunting the bounty hunters; tirelessly chasing Trandoshan hunters and confronting Cad Bane of Duros during a tense hostage situation.

Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the newest member of the Militaries of Star Wars Sixth Scale line, Clone Commander Fox. This is a Sideshow Exclusive: The Clone Commander Fox Sixth Scale Figure is a Comic Con 2012 Exclusive

Incoming as well: Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars Militaries 1/6th scale E-Web Cannon

Know as the E-Web Cannon or E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster, this weapon was first seen in the 1980 American epic space opera film "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" directed by Irvin Kershner and written by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan, with George Lucas writing the film's story and serving as executive producer.

With the introduction of the E-Web heavy repeating blaster, formally titled the Emplacement Weapon / Heavy Blaster, troopers were able to fire at an optimum range of two-hundred meters and a maximum range of five-hundred meters. Although it was the most powerful repeating blaster in the Imperial arsenal, it was restricted by certain limitations. E-Web blasters required a relatively lengthy set-up time, including assembly, calibrating the generator, and configuring of the targeting software. They also operated most efficiently with a two-man team, the first to man the gun itself, the second responsible for monitoring and adjusting the power generator, which, like all generators of its time was prone to overheating. Regardless, the E-Web, equipped with a built-in comlink and computerized fire control, served as an highly effective and powerful tool for the Imperial army, making significant appearances in an attempt to murder Obi-Wan Kenobi, at the Battle of Praesitlyn, and perhaps most successfully during the Galactic Civil War at the Battle of Hoth.

Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster Sixth Scale weapon. Featuring a portable power generator with conduit hose, the Imperial army's powerful blaster can be positioned up and down or from side to side, to create a custom display, the perfect complement to the Snowtrooper Sixth Scale Figure, the newest entry in the Militaries of Star Wars Sixth Scale collection.

Preview Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 1/6th scale Imperial Snowtrooper 12-inch figure

Specially outfitted to withstand bitter arctic climes, Snowtroopers were deployed on many different frozen worlds, but perhaps most notably in the Battle of Hoth where the Imperial Blizzard Force defeated the Alliance to Restore the Republic. In order to protect Snowtroopers against unforgiving climate extremes, they wore a white rugged body suit, to aid in camouflage, but also provide thermal insulation. They were also outfitted with an armored body shell and a unique breather hood built into their facemask that would facilitate breathing in extreme cold and or dangerous atmospheres. Armed with E-11 carbine blasters and thermal detonators, Snowtroopers also commonly employed E-Web heavy repeating blasters in battle.

"Avengers Assemble" Preview Dragon Models The Avengers 1/9th scale Action Hero Vignettes

These Marvel Avengers “Action Hero Vignettes” were actually introduced before the Dragon 1/9th scale Batman and Bane Action Hero Vignette from "The Dark Knight Rises" which I had posted earlier HERE. Dragon Models, being a model kit maker, decided to go the route of models kits / statuesque figures instead of the articulated 12-inch figures which they have also become known for when it came to movie-related merchandise. No point in competing with Hot Toys for the movie license when clearly they are outclassed in the 1/6th scale department.

Official word:
Dragon Models and DART (Dragon Advanced Research & Technology) are excited to introduce our latest innovation in 3D technology, Marvel Avengers “Action Hero Vignettes” in 1/9 scale. Pre-painted and with just the snap of a few parts, you can have a highly detailed desktop display of your favorite Avenger!

A hybrid between a display figure and a kit, Dragon brings you the best of both worlds. The use of model kit techniques allow us reproduce the intricate details and sharp lines to maximize the usage of the official 3D character scans. The use of the static display concept ensures that there are no cooling lines on the torsos and no visible ball joints that are prominent in most “action” figures. Additionally, the figures are set in a Marvel suggested pose so that the body portions won’t be deformed when the poses are changed.

The Batman / Bruce Wayne collectible is newly developed and highly detailed, specially crafted based on the image of Christian Bale as the iconic character Batman / Bruce Wayne, highlighting the movie-accurate head sculpt, Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) on Batman’s head, specially made fabric costume with armor based on the costume design in the movie, weapons and accessories.

Dragon 1/9th scale Batman and Bane Action Hero Vignette from "The Dark Knight Rises"

Following on from the hugely popular Marvel Avengers “Action Hero Vignettes” produced in 1/9th scale, Dragon is swooping in with its next 3D release. This time it’s a vignette from the upcoming movie The Dark Knight Rises. A product from DART (Dragon Advanced Research & Technology), it features Batman and his nemesis Bane. The latter is a long-standing foe of Batman’s due to a combination of his considerable physical strength and formidable intellect.

Dragon’s unique Action Hero Vignette figures are a perfect cross between a display figure and a kit. Possessing just a few parts, the pre-painted elements quickly snap together to create a dramatic 1/9 scale action figure. Dragon’s kit production and technological expertise result in figures that are sharply detailed and which accurately mirror the 3D form of characters. Batman and Bane come with a diorama base that is pre-colored and that quickly assembles into a dramatic movie scene.

Key points from Dragon: Highly collectible display model Developed in 3D, using official data from Marvel. Highly detailed and accurate Dynamic poses with diorama base. Fully colored and textured to movie likeness. Minimal assembly, “plug and display”. So since Dragon cannot match the other companies with their 1/6th scale 12-inch movie-related products, they decide to venture into 1/9th scale statuesque figures instead. Basically, these are statues but they aren't cast in stone ;p

Takara Cool Girl 1/6th scale Gatchaman G3 Jun the Swan CyGirl 12-inch female action figure

Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (科学忍者隊ガッチャマン Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman) is a 5-member superhero team that is composed of the main characters in several Japanese anime created by Tatsuo Yoshida and originally produced in Japan by Tatsunoko Productions and later adapted into several English-language versions. It is also known by the abbreviated name Gatchaman.

The original series, produced in 1972, was eponymously named Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman and is most well known to the English-speaking world as the adaptation titled Battle of the Planets. The title is unofficially called G-Force (not to be confused with the subsequent 1980s English-language adaptation of Gatchaman, known as G-Force: Guardians of Space). Tatsunoko also uses the official translation Science Commando Gatchaman, as shown in numerous related products and media. [source: wiki]

Best described as a science fiction action anime, recurring themes of Gatchaman involve conservation of nature, environmentalism, and responsible use of technology for progress and advancement. The series is centered around five young superhero ninja in the employ of Dr. Kōzaburō Nambu of the fictitious International Science Organization to oppose an international terrorist organization of technologically advanced villains, known as Galactor, from trying to take control of the Earth's natural resources.

Preview Crazy Dummy 1/6th scale U.S. Army SAW Gunner in Afghanistan 12-inch Figure

A squad automatic weapon (SAW, also known as section automatic weapon or light support weapon) is a weapon used to give infantry squads or sections a portable source of automatic firepower. Weapons used in this role are selective-fire rifles, usually fitted with a bipod and heavier barrel to perform as Light machine guns. SAWs usually fire the same cartridge as the assault rifles or battle rifles carried by other members of the unit. This reduces logistical requirements by making it necessary to supply only one type of ammunition to a unit. SAWs are light enough to be operated by one man, as opposed to heavy machine guns such as the Browning M2, which fire more powerful cartridges but require a crew to operate at full effectiveness.

This is a upcoming release by Crazy Dummy of a 1/6th scale U.S. Army SAW gunner in Afghanistan (CD78004). This 12-inch military figure is supposed to depict what the U.S. Army SAW gunner is wearing and equipped with in Afghanistan.

Scale Store 1/6th scale Afghanistan Wall - GREAT for diorama or creating a scene

Scale Store ITEM NO:S0024 is a 1/6th scale Afghanistan Wall made of Resin Material. It looks nice for creating a scene or diorama but the problem with these items are the prices. After adding shipping, it becomes rather costly (almost doubled) and you have to think whether it's more worth it to spend the money on a 12-inch figure or splash it on an environment.

There will always be two sides to a coin i.e. some prefer figures while some prefer figures in an environment. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion but some companies have been adding some extra little touches to their products without jacking up the price. Instead of just including the standard 12-inch figure display stand, some companies are throwing in a little extra in the form of a scenic base i.e. a non-standard black base, a base with some relevance to the character being featured. Some recent examples - Brother Production Hard-boiled "Harry" (pictures HERE), Art-Figures: SAVES "Punisher: War Zone" Figure (reviewed HERE) and Hot Toys Classic Predator (check out my post HERE). In the case of "Toms Forrest", the all important iconic bench was added to make Forrest Gump look complete :) - see pictures HERE
