Redman Toys 1/6th scale Blade Rick and Blade Roy 12" collectible figures aka Deckard & Batty

A blade runner must pursue and try to terminate four replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to Earth to find their creator.

Blade Runner is a 1982 American neo-noir science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos. It depicts a dystopian Los Angeles of 2019 in which genetically engineered replicants, which are visually indistinguishable from adult humans, are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation to work on off-world colonies. Those that escape and return to Earth are hunted down and "retired" by special police operatives known as Blade Runners. The story focuses on burnt-out expert Blade Runner Rick Deckard (Ford), who reluctantly agrees to take on one more assignment to hunt down a group of recently escaped replicants led by Roy Batty (Hauer).

Redman Toys will be releasing 1/6th scale Blade Rick and Blade Roy 12-inch collectible figures inspired by the characters portrayed by Harrison Ford (Rick Deckard) and Rutger Hauer (Roy Batty) in the 1982 film. Redman Toys seem to be doing a "Very Hot Toys" move by recasting the two figures Brother Production have released before back in 2010. These look identical to Brother Production versions (see the action figure review of Brother Production 1/6th scale "Blade Hunter" 12-inch figure posted on my toy blog HERE and Brother Production presents Revenge of the Replicant figure HERE). Russian Burger King wants "IT" banned because Pennywise “is a copy” of Ronald McDonald

"IT" is a 2017 American supernatural horror film directed by Andy Muschietti, based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Stephen King. The first of a planned duology, the film tells the story of seven children in Derry, Maine, who are terrorized by the eponymous being, only to face their own personal demons in the process. Upon release, the film set numerous box office records and has grossed over $482 million worldwide.

Burger King in Russia has filed a claim in Russian court to get the movie "It" banned from national screens.

Via Newsweek, the Russian financial magazine Vedomosti is reporting that Burger King has claimed that It is a violation of Russia’s advertising laws because Pennywise is “is an exact copy” of Ronald McDonald, the longtime mascot of the King’s chief fast-foot rival, McDonalds. It gets better: the filing includes Burger King’s belief that part of the similarities between the two clowns include “the color range and the [balloons] with which the clown lures children.”

Jihadi John Deported - ISIS Counterfeit Lego sets sold in Singapore taken off the shelves

Counterfeit Lego sets sold in Singapore depicting ISIS terrorists have been taken off the shelves.

The toys, which were sold at a local retail store and on e-commerce sites, were removed after concerns were raised that they could lead to the glorification of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria terror group. A reader had alerted The Straits Times to the made-in-China figurines being sold at a shop in People's Park Centre, as well as online.

These toy sets, recommended for children aged between six and 12 years, depict violent scenes that show figurines carrying the ISIS flag, launching sticks of dynamite and firing AK-47s. One also includes a plastic figurine of a decapitated head.

These toys, described as "Falcon commando" sets, were priced between $3.80 and $25. They were sold on local online marketplace Carousell and at 8 Series, a retail store selling household goods, toys and other lifestyle items in People's Park Centre.

Another online retailer, Brick Generals, also sold toy figurines described as "militants" and "bombers". One of them was labelled as "ISIS Jihadi John", while a description for a bomber figurine read: "Extremist who enjoys blowing things up for fun. One day, he'll blow himself up."

Review 1: Hot Toys Terminator Genisys 1/6th scale Endoskeleton 33 cm Collectible Figure

This was part of my September 2017 haul (see the toy blog post HERE)

In Terminator Genisys, the judgment day has arrived and more than 3 billion human lives have been lost in the attacks by Skynet. Survivors were captured and put into camps for exterminations. In 2029, Human Resistance leader John Connor has led a final intense battle against Skynet and its menacing armies of Endoskeletons in order to eliminate the hellish artificial intelligence.

This is actually the first Terminator endoskeleton by Hot Toys that I got. Hot Toys have released three versions earlier: there was the Terminator 2 T-800 Endoskeleton (MMS33) followed by a Battle-Damaged Endoskeleton only available as a Japanese exclusive and the T-700 from Terminator Salvation (MMS94) but I was never compelled to get any of them until now. Given the improvements Hot Toys has made over time in refining their products and improving their quality, I figured this was the best time as any to get hold of a Terminator endoskeleton.

Bandai Tamashii Exclusive Marvel Manga Realization Samurai Captain America Figure

Bandai has been quite successful with their Tamashii Nations Star Wars Movie Realization line of Samurai-inspired Star Wars action figures, mostly of the armor-clad troopers of the Galactic Empire.

Now they have gone into Manga Realization of Marvel characters reimagined as Samurai warriors. Bandai Tamashii Exclusive Marvel Manga Realization Samurai Captain America Figure will be joining Spider-Man (previewed on my toy blog HERE) and Iron Man (pics HERE) as part of Bandai's re-imagining of Marvel superheroes into Samurai inspired warriors of Feudal Japan.

Samurai Captain America has a painted face guard as part of his mask / helmet and comes with huge wings on the sides of his head. The figure will include interchangeable gloved hands, his trademark shield, as well as a Samrai sword with sheath. The star on the figure's chest can also be removed and used as a shuriken. Now isn't that interesting. The shield can be attached to the figure's back or forearms.

Kenner 1/6th scale The Six Million Dollar Man Lee Majors as Steve Austin 13" tall action figure

"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Steve Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better... stronger... faster."

I was quite excited when I first caught a glimpse of the upcoming Supermad Toys 1/6th scale Six Million Bionic Man Collectible Figure (see the toy blog post HERE) as it was essentially Lee Majors as Steve Austin from the 1970s TV series "The Six Million Dollar Man" which was a very popular show I watched as a kid. But alas, on closer examination, the figure was a disappointment. Other than the 1/6th scale Lee Majors as Steve Austin head sculpt, it offered little else.

Seeing the preview pics made me hark back to the 1970s Kenner Six Million Dollar Man 13-inch tall action figure which was a lot of fun and still is today :) I decided to take some pics of the figure and post them on my blog here. I present to you the original Bionic Man action figure!

This 1970s Kenner 13-inch tall The Six Million Dollar Man Lee Majors as Steve Austin action figure has some nice features: a bionic eye you could look through, a bionic arm that would lift items (an engine block accessory was included) when a trigger on the back was pushed, and roll-back skin that would display interchangeable bionic elements. The basic outfit worn by the figure is based on the tracksuit Steve Austin wears during his test run in the original pilot movie and subsequently in the opening credits of the series.

September 2017 haul: Hot Toys Doctor Strange, Terminator Genisys Endoskeleton and Agent Salt

This is my second haul for September 2017, having collected the Hot Toys MMS359 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 1:6th scale Wonder Woman movie-accurate collectible earlier - see the action figure review posted on my toy blog HERE.

This time, I've got the Hot Toys MMS387 1/6th scale Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange 12-inch collectible figure (previewed one year ago HERE), Hot Toys MMS352 Terminator Genisys 1/6th scale Endoskeleton 33 cm tall Collectible Figure which was previewed even further back in February 2016 HERE, and Supermad Toys 1:6 scale Agent Salt (Angelina Jolie) 12-inch action figure (preview pics HERE)

Most times pre-orders take a while to be released and we really lose track of when they'll come so it's a nice surprise when they finally do arrive. Better late than never, as the saying goes. I enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of Doctor Strange and am glad to be able to own a 12-inch Cumberpatch figure as I'm a fan of his work - Sherlock Holmes, The Imitation Game, Star Trek Into Darkness etc. And it seems Hot Toys like him too because this figure comes with quite a bit of accessories, compared to Hot Toys MMS363 Captain America: Civil War 1/6th scale Black Panther Collectible Figure which had ZERO accessories (see my review HERE). Owning 1/6th scale figures is like having a mini Hollywood in your home, with all the famous stars / actors lining your shelves.

Steve Austin is an astronaut who is seriously injured when his spaceship crashes. Austin undergoes a government-sanctioned surgery, which rebuilds several of Steve's body parts with machine parts, making him cyborglike. The Six Million Dollar Man is an American science fiction and action television series about a former astronaut, Colonel Steve Austin, portrayed by American actor Lee Majors. Austin has superhuman strength due to bionic implants and is employed as a secret agent by a fictional U.S. government office titled OSI. The series was based on the Martin Caidin novel Cyborg, which was the working title of the series during pre-production. The Six Million Dollar Man television series aired on the ABC network as a regular episodic series for five seasons from 1974 to 1978. Steve Austin became a pop culture icon of the 1970s.

Hot Toys 1/6th scale Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman 12-inch collectible figures

The "Trinity" is a nickname collectively given to the top three most popular characters in the DC Universe, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. This name has also been used for several series' and storylines that focus on these three characters teaming up.

In the 2016 superhero film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", we see the first ever live-action interaction between Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) together. It is also the first live-action cinematic portrayal of Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

I got both the Hot Toys MMS343 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 1:6 scale SUPERMAN and Hot Toys MMS342 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 1:6 scale BATMAN Collectible Figures back in November 2016 (see my toy blog post HERE) but it has taken this long for Hot Toys MMS359 Wonder Woman figure to be released. Now I can finally pose the three of them together for pictures. One of the funny moments from the film was when Wonder Woman appears after Doomsday confronts Superman and Batman. Superman says to Batman: "Is she with you?" and
Batman replies: "I thought she was with you."

The Flash is an American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / The Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow, existing in the same fictional universe. The series follows Barry Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, a crime scene investigator who gains super-human speed, which he uses to fight criminals, including others who have also gained superhuman abilities.

Custom 1/6th scale Bat Girl Outfit Set

Batgirl operates in Gotham City, allying herself with Batman and the original Robin, Dick Grayson, along with other masked vigilantes. Although the character Betty Kane was introduced into publication in 1961 by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff as Bat-Girl, she was replaced by Barbara Gordon in 1967, who later came to be identified as the iconic Batgirl. The character debuted in Detective Comics #359, titled "The Million Dollar Debut of Batgirl!" (January 1967) by writer Gardner Fox and artist Carmine Infantino, introduced as the daughter of police commissioner James Gordon.

This Bat Girl Outfit Set comes complete with bodysuit, gloves, boots and some weapons. Part of the astromech unit of the First Order that keep their starships and machinery operational, BB-9E has captured many fans’ attention since its first reveal with its stylish look!

Today, Hot Toys is very thrilled to officially introduce the 1/6th scale BB-9E collectible figure from Star Wars: The Last Jedi!

The highly accurate collectible figure is specially crafted on the appearance of BB-9E in the film. This First Order droid features a newly developed spherical body with mechanical details under the circular grilles, specially applied glossy black and metallic silver painting, and a magnetically attached head with a LED light-up feature.

Germany's postwar commando amphibious warfare force are called the Kampfschwimmer ("Combat Swimmers", abbreviated "KSM") or Verwendungsgruppe 3402 (Deployment Group 3402). They are the only special-purpose force of the German Navy. The Kampfschwimmer were set up particularly because Germany joined NATO and there was felt to be risk of war with the Soviet Union. A unit was needed which could help to secure the Baltic Sea exits through the Danish Straits. On 1 August 1958 Group 3402, as these commando frogmen were called by the navy, was set up.

TBLeague 1/6th scale Silver Huntress (SHCC Exclusive) Fantasy Female Deluxe Figure

Fantasy Females? Is it a guy thing? Why do most Fantasy Female characters wear so little and yet is expected to accomplish so much? Examples that come to mind include Red Sonja, Vampirella, Dejah Thoris, Emma Frost, Lady Death, Shanna the She-Devil, Elektra, Psylocke, Tigra and many others. Even Wonder Woman is not spared. Supermad Toys 1/6th scale Cat 2.0 (Battle Damaged Version) 12-inch Collectible Figure

Selina Kyle is Catwoman, a costumed adventurer who's been both a super-hero and super-villain. Beginning her career as a thief and enemy to Batman, she later turned to crime-fighting and became part of the Batman Family.

A popular figure, Catwoman has been featured in many media adaptations related to Batman. Actresses Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt introduced her to a large audience on the 1960s Batman television series and the 1966 Batman film. Michelle Pfeiffer portrayed the character in 1992's Batman Returns. Halle Berry starred in a stand-alone Catwoman film, 2004's Catwoman, which was a critical and commercial flop, and bears little to no similarities to the Batman character. Anne Hathaway portrayed Selina Kyle in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises and, most recently, a young version of Kyle is played by Camren Bicondova on the 2014 television series Gotham.

This is a new version of the CAT from supermad toys: battle damaged version comes with a wired bullwhip for different poses. Electroshock gun can be attached to the boot via hidden magnets. Limited worldwide release of 200 sets. This is most likely inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman in 1992's Batman Returns.
