Thankfully for us in Asia and thru' good contacts and connections, we can bypass Sideshow and get the goodies almost directly, thereby ensuring that our pockets last longer, especially with the global financial crisis - sigh!!
Ron Pearlman (who was the Beast in "Beauty and the Beast" TV series) reprises his role as Hellboy. If you'd seen him in "Aliens: Resurrection", you'll know that he doesn't need much make-up for the role - now here's a mug even a mother couldn't love
Nice details of his belt and holster for his Good Samaritan
Doug Jones who also played El Fauno & The Pale Man in "Pan's Labyrinth (2006)" reprises his role as Abe Sapien. The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro who also directed "Pan's Labyrinth" before this. You cannot help but feel that a lot of "Pan's Labyrinth" got carried over into "The Golden Army"
finally man~!!等到花儿也谢了
ReplyDeleteThe chest part of the hellboy body looks a bit smaller..
ReplyDeleteyeah, ken - you said it - FINALLY, a decent Hellboy. Yay!
ReplyDeletehi desmond, any bigger and he won't be able to bring his arms down, like some of those bodybuilders whose arms permanently hang at the side, like gorillas - ha! ha!
Hey Alex, what I mean is the arm and body can be a bit bigger..If you see the 18inch released from Mezco..Everything are well produced and look movie accurate :)
ReplyDeleteyo desmond, understand what you mean but i guess Hot Toys doesn't want to invest in making another muscular type body for one character. This way they paint the muscular body type they already have RED with some engraving for authenticity - faster, cheaper coz they figure they can hide the body under the trenchcoat. thanks for looking ;p
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that Hot Toys has gotten its hands on the Hellboy lisence. I have Sideshow's Abe and Kroenen figures, but missed out on Hellboy himself. Now Hot Toys comes along and blows Sideshow's sculpts out of the water (yet again).
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the joy of collecting, eh dash? Hot Toys is blowing all the other players in the 1/6 market out of the water!!
ReplyDeleteRubber body + SG's humid weather = ???
ReplyDeleteHi Marcus, got what you mean :( can only PRAY PRAY -ha! ha!
