This is my kitbash of a 1:6 scale Jason Statham as Frank Martin from "The Transporter" movie series. In the 2002 film, Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is a highly regarded "transporter" in the underworld. He will transport anything, anywhere – no questions asked – for the right price.
Frank does everything with style, and is almost always dressed in a black suit with white shirt. Jason Statham's background in martial arts enabled him to do most of his own stunts, and the fight scenes were a delight to watch, all thanks to director Corey Yuen, a Hong Kong action veteran whose talent for hand-to-hand mayhem is truly something to see.
The first film's success spawned two sequels, "Transporter 2", in 2005 and third Transporter film in 2008.
Frank Martin operates by a set of rules:
1. Never change the Deal.
2. No names.
3. Never open the package.
4. Never make a promise you can't keep.
Jason Statham's role as Frank Martin got me to look out for the other films he starred in, as Bacon in "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998)", as Turkish in "Snatch (2000)" alongside Brad Pitt, as MVA Agent Evan Funsch in "The One (2001)" where he partnered with Jet Li for the first time.
Frank Martin (Jason Statham) had a cameo appearance in "Collateral (2004)". Cab driver Max Durocher (Jamie Foxx) picked up a man named Vincent (Tom Cruise), who was seen earlier exchanging a briefcase with a stranger (Jason Statham) at Los Angeles International Airport.
Frank Martin is portrayed as an ex-special forces operator who was a team leader of a search and destroy unit. His military background includes operations "in and out of" Lebanon, Syria and Sudan. He retires from this after becoming angered with his superior officers downplaying his performance, but in simple terms he got tired of seeing his best efforts turned to nothing by the same people paying him to do the job, and then puts his skills to use as a black market courier.
And here are some close-up shots of the Jason Statham as Frank Martin 1:6 scale head sculpt
What makes this a distinct "Transporter 3" bash? It is the explosive device strapped to Frank Martin's (Jason Statham) right wrist. The wrist device will explode if the person concerned goes more than 75 feet from the car, an armored Audi A8 W12 driven by Frank Martin.
Jason Statham partnered Jet Li a third time in the recently released film "The Expendables". It pays tribute to the blockbuster action films of the 1980s and early 1990s, and stars an array of action veterans from those decades, including Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger (the latter two in cameo roles), as well as more recent stars such as Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Steve Austin.
Very likely that HT will make a Statham under their license from "The Expandables".
