Big news from Marvel in today's papers… Spider-Man will get a new costume, and it won’t be Peter Parker wearing it! In the Ultimate Spider-Man series, Peter Parker gets shot, and someone new pics up the Spider Mantle.
“That’s not Peter Parker,” Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso told The Post. “There’s going to be someone new wearing the costume.” The new webslinger and the new look – a sleek black and red costume – will make their debut at some point this summer, after the conclusion of the ominously titled “Death of Spider-Man” storyline in June’s Ultimate Spider-Man No. 160.
And hands up anyone who has seen the other new Spider-man costume? The one from the new Spider-man movie. New ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ set pics show star Andrew Garfield suited up to film a scene from Marc Webb’s upcoming 3D reboot. Check out how Garfield looks in the Spidey suit.
Quote: "Filming is already underway on Marc Webb’s Spider-Man (quasi) reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man, and since production began, a plethora of set images leaked to Internet, depicting everything from the details of Spidey’s new costume, to some of the action sequences in the movie, to scenes of the new Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) getting tender in one of the film’s teen angst moments."
The upcoming Spider-man film will return Peter Parker to a high school setting, and his foe will be The Lizard (played by Rhys Ifans) although it has been said that The Lizard will not be the only villain that Spidey has to deal with. That's all I know ;p Anyone care to chip in?
It seems to me the amazing Spider-man is back to using web gadgets and not like the former movie that shoot web from his body or something. That is a good and true to the comic.
ReplyDeleteHowever the new suit doesn't look too good. It seems the new spidey in the movie is more grounded. LOL
I like BOTH! Fun stuff- I'm not concerned about "true to the comic" here at The Super-DuperToyBox... as you know, I believe Change Is Good :D
ReplyDeleteThanx for posting! VERY cool!
That costume looks like the one from the old TV show from the late 70s/early 80s.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the costume or the idea of a reboot that's just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteeveryone is allowed to have their own opinion :) nothing wrong with that CHEERS
