Hot Toys is a little late in coming up with this, don't you think? Well, as they say, better late than never. Takara had already released a Bruce Wayne with climbing harness way back in 2007 - see my post HERE and HERE. I actually got the Takara Batman Begins figure over Hot Toys version (check out the Takara version HERE) because Hot Toys version 1.0 wasn't as good. I only got the much improved Hot Toys original Batsuit when they released it again as part of their "Dark Knight" line (version 2.0 HERE). And finally, I switched the Hot Toys Christian Bale head with the Takara version for my own version of 12-inch Bruce Wayne going "spelunking" - pictures HERE.
Love the blog, long time lurker...first time poster.
ReplyDeleteLove this figure and I hope I can finally pick it up for a reasonable price!
Thanks for the support :) let's hope this Hot Toys 2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive Batman / Bruce Wayne will be affordable for us all CHEERS
ReplyDeletecan i get someone from sg to get it for me ? :p
ReplyDeletewhyyyy, the head sculpt is crazy isn't it, same like the capt.america, it using the new realistic and awesome detail on the head sculpt. this is the best christian bale ever for HT
ReplyDeleteIt's cool for them to release such a figure, but I still think the costume for the DX 2 Dark Knight is better. Headsculpt for this release is undeniably better though.
ReplyDeleteGeez... Wish I could grab one!
ReplyDeleteAre you getting one for yourself, Alex? This one is a stunner! Given the chance I'd grab one in a heartbeat.
Cheers!
Gene
Unfortunately this wld only be made available thru SDCC and the Taipei Comic Con ain't it Alex? Nevertheless, let's all pray that our local retailers do bring them in somehow onto our shores. A must-get in my books! I knew that I purposely missed out on HT's 1st Batman Begins figure for a reason!
ReplyDeleteHot Damn, he's a Beauty!
ReplyDeletehey guys, there's a HIGH chance this exclusive figure might be sold at STGCC 2011 which is on next month :)
ReplyDeleteHi Alex,
ReplyDeleteWill be flying down to sg for the toy fair so want to know if we can purchase it on the spot or it's preorder at the booth? Are they in limited quantity in the toy fair? thisvwill pretty much determine my itinerary.
Hi Ethan, should be able to purchase on the spot since it is a Toy Fair Exclusive. Don't know the numbers but if you want,I could get it for you first since I do get first dips :) that way, you can pick up at your convenience. My only request is that payment be made in advance. let me know what you think CHEERS
ReplyDeleteAlex,
ReplyDeleteWow thats a very generous offer from u. Really appreciate it. Well not sure how many u can get hold off. There will be total of 5 of my friends (including me) that will be flying down to get it. No problem on the advance payment. Just let me know :)
I will find out how many I can get hold of. Will let you know CHEERS
ReplyDeleteCool. Thanks Alex :)
ReplyDeleteGood things do come to those who wait! I passed on the TDK original suit when it first came out because I had already bought the Takara Tomy version but later regretted not getting it.
ReplyDeleteLesson learned, and I shall not pass this one :)
Thanks for the share Guru Alex!
Hi Ethan
ReplyDeleteLooks like I won't be able to get the figures for you after all. The word is Hot Toys themselves are coming down to Singapore for STGCC 2011 and they want to sell the figures themselves. That means no local representatives but the good news is that Hot Toys will be putting up a fine display of all their prototypes.
No worry Alex. Can't wait to to see those new prototypes and let's see if might bump into u at the event :)
ReplyDeletewould be nice to be able to put a face to the name :) CHEERS
ReplyDeleteBtw, any idea on the price for this item?
ReplyDeleteThanks for this Batman post. The details on these figures is quite striking.
ReplyDeleteno details yet. word going around is SGD350 - what exclusives usually go for but have to wait for the actual price list CHEERS

This figure will most likely be up for sale at Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2011 in August. You can get it there CHEERS
ReplyDeleteAlex,
ReplyDeleteBased of your experience last year, is the queeu going to be long? Planning to get in line early in the morning...before the sun rises....at first thought it sounds rather pathetic...until i read on this link.
http://toysetc.livejournal.com/tag/hot%20toys%20at%20stgcc
There's always been a Q for tickets but this year it will get even more interesting because of the coupon system for buying Hot Toys exclusives. Honestly I don't know what to expect. If you have come all the way to Singapore with friends, then I suppose you can join the Q early with them and have a party while you're at it :) CHEERS
