More of MoreToy 1/6 Karas 14-inch Figure REVIEW II

continued from previous post...

Having seen pictures of the 1/6 scale Karas 14-inch figure from MoreToy in the earlier post, here are some more pictures of this awesome figure with his sword. Like I mentioned before, I was completely unaware of this figure's existence until recently. This figure was too good to resist and after getting it, I began to google about the character of Karas to find out more.

In the six-part OVA (Original Video Animation) series produced by Tatsunoko Production to commemorate its 40th anniversary of anime production, Karas is the name of any of the city's appointed agents. They protect the city from any evil that plans to threaten the city and destroy them. Karas have a dark nature and are "menacing" in their look. Karas are modeled after Ravens as Ravens always seem to be watching over the city.

Included with the MoreToy 1/6 scale Karas 14-inch figure boxed set are three extra hands and a long metal sword with sheath plus what appears to be a shorter scabbard (no sword). On the shorter scabbard, the wings are in a down position whereas on the sheath of the sword, the wings are in a horizontal flying position.

The long metal sword is attached to the sheath with chains. The MoreToy 1/6 scale Karas 14-inch figure also comes with a circular figure stand with special design.

Here's the MoreToy 1/6 scale Karas 14-inch figure with the sword holding right hand and unsheathed metal sword / katana. The katana (刀) is one of the traditional Japanese swords (日本刀, nihonto) worn by the samurai class of feudal Japan, also commonly referred to as a "samurai sword". The katana is generally defined as the standard size moderately curved (as opposed to the older "tachi" style featuring more curvature) Japanese sword with a blade length greater than 60 cm (23.6 inches).

Remember I showed the three claws on Karas' back armor? They are meant to hold the short scabbard in position on his back. As far as I can tell, in the anime, this short scabbard extends and becomes the long sword with sheath when Karas needs to use his weapon.

Here's the MoreToy 1/6 scale Karas 14-inch figure with unsheathed metal sword / katana (刀) on the specially designed figure stand. I've switched the left hand to the action hand instead of the fist hand as seen earlier.

Here's the MoreToy 1/6 scale Karas 14-inch figure with the sword sheath secured via the three claws on his back. I believe the shorter scabbard shown earlier extends into a long sword with sheath whenever Karas needs his weapon.

Next: Size comparisons of this MoreToy 1/6 Karas 14-inch Figure with other 12-inch figures. How do they stack up?
