In response to public outcry over the standoffs at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, and of the Branch Davidians in the Waco Siege, the FBI formed the CIRG in 1994 to deal more efficiently with crisis situations. The CIRG is designated to formulate strategies, manage hostage or siege situations, and, if humanly possible, resolve them "without loss of life," as FBI Director Louis Freeh, who assumed the post four-and-a-half months after the Waco fire, pledged in a 1995 Senate hearing. CIRG was intended to integrate tactical and investigative resources and expertise for critical incidents which necessitate an immediate response from law enforcement authorities. CIRG will deploy investigative specialists to respond to terrorist activities, hostage takings, child abductions and other high-risk repetitive violent crimes. Other major incidents include prison riots, bombings, air and train crashes, and natural disasters.

"Men in black" i.e. these special ops / tactical guys in black uniforms and getup are always in fashion and in demand as well. Black uniform clad ops guys are always a MUST HAVE. This particular Soldier Story 1/6 scale FBI CIRG (Critical Incident Response Group) 12-inch Figure will be in demand for a long time to come so make sure you get yours. I have two Soldier Story 1/6th scale CIA Special Activities Divison (SAD) Night Ops 12-inch Figures (see my reviews HERE and HERE) and they are two of my most viewed toy blog posts, right up there in the top five rankings so this figure will garner just as many views when it comes.
Soldier Story puts out quality stuff and this guy looks to be one of those that will be much talked about in years to come :)
Check out the 1/6 scale head sculpt that comes with this Soldier Story 1/6 scale FBI CIRG (Critical Incident Response Group) 12-inch Figure. Yup! This is Soldier Story's take on actor Jeremy Renner.
I can already see people kitbashing and customizing their own versions of Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye, Sergeant First Class William James in Hurt Locker, William Brandt in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol or Aaron Cross / Kenneth J. Kitsom in The Bourne Legacy. He is one of the new action man of the movies. Can't wait to see him as Hansel in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.
Once again, check out all the gear and accessories that come with this Soldier Story 1/6 scale FBI CIRG (Critical Incident Response Group) 12-inch Figure. Plenty of stuff for one to put together or part out and they are all GOOD :)
Need another reason for getting this Soldier Story 1/6 scale FBI CIRG (Critical Incident Response Group) 12-inch Figure? Remember the guys who attacked the S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-carrier with Clint Barton in "The Avengers" movie? Take way the FBI patches and I.D.s and this figure looks almost just like them. How cool is that?

ReplyDeleteI may take this one.
You won't regret getting this Jako ;p
ReplyDeleteIf this comes with a Kriss Vector it would be a hit!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Thanks again @lex! (I'm the guy with HotToys Truetype bodies question; and I thank you also for answering /I should create myself an account to avoid anonymity :) )
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what soldier would Soldier Story put on right now (as they covered Afghanistan well right now; and they are preparing SCAR rifles...) so this is a great unexpected surprise! I am going to rob my store when they unbox this dude :D
If it weren't for so many things to buy at same time and I was willing to improve this one even more (although I agree with your statement on Soldier story improving their headsculpt); I would buy a HotToys Hawkeye head on ebay.
Have a nice day!
Hi, this figure looks nice with all the gear on him, including his helmet, mask, NVGs etc so it really doesn't matter what head sculpt is underneath because it will be hidden by everything ;p what I usually do is switch out the nicer head sculpts for bashes and put a generic head under there since the face is meant to stay hidden.
ReplyDeleteAlso you have to be careful with head sculpts because a bigger head sculpt or even slightly longer face would throw everything off i.e. the helmet, gas mask etc won't be able to fit nicely. Not all heads are the same size ;p unless you meant to display the figure without the helmet and mask. cheers
I agree with you @lex. I'm doing similar.
ReplyDeleteWhile doing my own things, I noticed that HotToys, Sideshow, Artfigures bodies are bigger, widder than Soldier Story's.
Those bodies fill Soldier Story's uniforms/clothes better.
Although The Soldier Story's Weapons (where I consider them the best right now) are at the limits of proportions.
The only problem I encountered with heads are the Headplay's ones. You can have some great surprises in sculpts; but also dissapointments. Michael Jordan's head is too big, so is the neck; female heads are not easy to plug/attach. Some heads have eyes too close; etc.
...
I thought of Hawkeye's head because the sculpt is way ahead in quality/realism (while Soldier Story are way ahead of others in uniforms/weapons/accessories realism.) if one wish to have a great 1/6 collectible.
However if one wants to use this FBI CIRG at its full potential he has to buy either 4, 5 of it; or buy clothes and different accessories in numbers at the unboxing; to kitbash and make a full squad.
Sorry if the message is too long. Bye ;)
Thanks for your contribution and comments. Very insightful and also helpful to fellow collectors and kitbashers. Great observations. CHEERS
