The 1/6 scale head sculpt looks like Sylvester Stallone in Dr Fu Manchu makeup. Is he auditioning for the Mandarin in Iron Man 3? Didn't somebody tell him that Ben Kingsley already got the role? LOL
Hot Toys could've done Jason Statham, Jet Li, or Dolph Lundgren. Anybody else in 1/6 but Sylvester Stallone again!

Not in my cart. I think the head sculpt still need some work, on certain angle resemble the character.
ReplyDeleteI guess HT may put out the whole gang sooner or later.
Or they might not ;p
ReplyDeleteHT never finish what they started with quite a number of lines e.g. Predator, same with Tron, same with Platoon, same with Pirates, same with Blade, same with Sucker Punch, same with Avatar, same with Resident Evil, same with Watchmen etc
Come on guys..its better then the older one. What you want more if you missed the first one?
ReplyDeleteThe Lineup of Hottoys this year sucks. I Can save some money ;)
We all can save some money :P and spend on other companies' products haha
ReplyDeleteNo tattooed body?! BUMMER!! I skipped the first version.... I picked up the SOLDIERS of FORTUNE by Art Toys so I have to get THIS one. And your right about the attention spane of Hot Toys.
ReplyDeleteAgreeable with you Alex. So far Iron Man series is pretty much their mainstream. Their next hot coming product is Leslie Cheung. Probably this will bring in new crowd, likely more demand in Asia.
ReplyDeletethe sculpt is worse than the first one...
ReplyDeletesomebody said the HS looks like Anil Kapur LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's Sly? Not Sly? Nice try HT! The head looks small or is it because the berets used are bigger? The body looks bigger this time or is it because the Black tactical vest is thicker? No body tattoo? Maybe HT used the wrong body during the pictorials. Or maybe HT will give us the decals for the tattoo and let us apply the tattoo ourselves. The head sculpt has the unusual facial expression, i thought it's Mr. Bean sporting a mustache while covering his face with thick foundation to hide and minimize the wrinkles. The eyeballs are looking at two separate direction. Defective P.E.R.S maybe. Oh well, after all the things I've said I'll still get this figure even with a crooked face. Chances are you can always sell this on chop-chop basis just don't forget to put a hefty discount on the head sculpt.
ReplyDeleteTo each his own I guess...I just picked him up from AZTECA and I think this figure is pretty damn cool looking. Most of you want them too life like if you ask me, I mean come on now these are toy action figures...I'm happy they made a Stallone figure from Expendables 2 if you know what I mean. Some of you collectors must be the best sculptors in the world if you're going to continue to criticize their work you guys must be phenomenal sculptors yourselves. :)
