Post#9: One just can't get enough of Daniel Picard's beautiful and realistic pictures of toys

Daniel Picard does it again! If you have only just stumbled upon this toy blog post and have not been following, Daniel Picard is an extraordinary photographer extremely gifted in turning 1:6 scale toy figures / collectables into life-size 1:1 scale subjects that look like they belong in the real world.

In Post#8 posted HERE, it was Black Widow versus Clone Troopers. In this latest entry, it's Phil Coulson versus Battle Droids. You can also check out reviews of this Hot Toys The Avengers: 1/6th scale Agent Phil Coulson 12-inch Limited Edition Figure HERE and HERE. It seems like S.H.I.E.L.D. trains their agents very well :)

Scroll down to see the rest of the stunningly real pictures. You'll see more robots, the JOKER and more Clone Troopers. Click on the pictures for bigger and better views :) You cannot appreciate the beautifully taken pictures until you see them as they are intended - LARGE!

In the picture above, you see the MAN himself putting away his toys after he's done playing with them. Mind you, those Battle Droids and the robots around him including the one his daughter is sitting on are actually 1:6 scale in size. Blows the mind just thinking about it.

And check out 1:6 scale Joker playing with an actual Lego Super Heroes set in a 1:1 scale setting. No diorama here, just pure photography skills.

Star Wars IG-88 doing some stretching and Yoga exercise by the beach. Let's hope his metal parts won't get rusty from the salty sea breeze. Living near the sea where the air is saltier will have an impact on metal toys that have no protection from rust. It has happened and it will happen. Just a matter of time. It's a good thing that this IG-88 figure is actually made of plastic ;p

Last but not least, a pair of Clone Troopers doing what they do best - checking and making sure everything is ship shape and in good order. With Daniel's skills, he can place the figure anywhere and they'll look right at home, as if they actually belong there.

You can check out Daniel Picard's website www.danielpicard.com for more pictures :) He doesn't just shoot toys. Daniel Picard takes very nice pictures of people, places and things as well. Go to his facebook page and like it as well.
