I got up close to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 cast members, in Singapore for Earth Hour 2014 :)

Blogging has its privileges :)

The stars of The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx, along with director Marc Webb and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach were in Singapore last night at the Marina Bay Sands shopping mall as part of the promotion for the movie opening in Singapore on May 1, as well to promote Earth Hour on Saturday, March 29.

I was invited to be at the red carpet which was held at Marina Bay Sands The Skating Rink, Canal Level followed by The Amazing Spider-Man 2 International Press Conference at MasterCard Theatre.

The above picture shows the things I got prior to the event: Blu-ray DVD of The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 12-inch figures from Hasbro Singapore, Spider-Man caps and Spider-Man masks. Scroll down to see pictures of the stars taken up close. I was able to get front and center second row seats at the Press Conference :) It was a blast!

Knowing Andrew Garfield was going to be there, I just have to bring along the Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series MMS179 1/6 scale The Amazing Spider-Man Limited Edition Collectible Figure and hope that he'll autograph on it.

Pictures of the crowd and the International Press. Click on the pictures for bigger and better views. It was my first time at a red carpet event so it was certainly an eye opener.

I took videos of Spider-Man,

Emma Stone who plays Gwen Stacy

and Andrew Garfield who is the new Peter Parker / Spider-Man

It was a crazy crowd at the red carpet and everyone was jostling for a chance to get the stars to sign autographs. Even when they were on stage, it was impossible to see them because of the crowd.

Thankfully, I was able to get up close at the press conference as the stars (and director) took turns to answer the Press' questions. It was kind of surreal to see these guys (and gal) so close. They were all very warm and had no airs about them. Andrew Garfield was especially candid and personal.

And here are some photos taken at the event by others and shared on the world wide web :) These have me in them haha

That's the Hot Toys Spider-Man box I brought to the event for the signing ;p

These were from the Press Conference

This was the box I brought to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 red carpet event at Marina Bay Sands - the Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series MMS179 1/6 scale The Amazing Spider-Man Limited Edition Collectible Figure

And Andrew Garfield signed it :)

  1. This actor looks more like my idea of Peter Parker from the early Marvel comics. (I did not like Tobey Maguire for that role.)

Thanks for sharing the videos and photos.
