Pre-order Square Enix Batman: Arkham Origins Play Arts Kai Deathstroke 9" (23 cm) tall figure

continued from previous post...

Besides releasing the Batman: Arkham Origins Play Arts Kai Batman 9-inch (23 cm) tall figure, Square Enix will also be releasing the Batman: Arkham Origins Play Arts Kai Deathstroke 9-inch (23 cm) tall figure. Deathstroke will come with additional hands, a sword, a staff, rifle and a pistol.

Deathstroke the Terminator (also known by his name Slade Wilson, originally called simply the Terminator) is a comic book supervillain, and sometimes antihero, who appears in books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. He is a mercenary and assassin who first appeared in The New Teen Titans (vol. 1) #2 (1980).

This is the Deathstroke who appears in Batman: Arkham Origins video game, voiced by Mark Rolston. He is among the eight assassins hired to kill Batman by the Joker.

Most of the other earlier releases by Square Enix looked too anime-ish for me, especially the head sculpts. But since Deathstroke is wearing a mask, I guess I won't be having any problems with that issue ;p Plus, he'll make a great companion piece to the Batman: Arkham Origins Play Arts Kai Batman.

  1. This new line-up of figures is really impressive. I picked up Arkham Asylum Joker and the quality was garbage but their Dark Knight Batman was all kinds of great, so I don't know what to expect.

And I agree with you that the heads were too stylized so i hope they keep the faces looking more realistic.

  2. I have quite a few Play Arts Kai figures and have given up on this line... too many figures with QC problems right out of the box, and the money they are charging for these are ridiculous - I won't be giving any more of my money to Play Arts Kai, save it for 1/6 instead.
