San Diego Comic-Con International is a multigenre entertainment and comic convention held annually in San Diego, California. It was founded as the Golden State Comic Book Convention in 1970 by a group of San Diegans, which included Shel Dorf, Richard Alf, Ken Krueger and Mike Towry; later, it was called the "San Diego Comic Book Convention". The name, as given on its website, is Comic-Con International: San Diego; but it is commonly known simply as Comic-Con or the San Diego Comic-Con or "SDCC". It is the event where many things get previewed and seen for the first time and this year is no exception.
Since we all can't be there, we can only wait for the people who are to take pictures and post them to share. The pictures seen here are credit to

Deadpool looks great!
ReplyDeleteSnake is okay.
Wolverine... I think it looks awful.
Deadpool is perfect and I hope he comes with a hamburger face bonus.
ReplyDeleteWolvie looks terrible and I hate writing that. His face doesn't look anything like Jim Lee or John Byrne drew him. It is just bad. The brown leather or whatever that is looks like old faded couch material too.
Snake's face is blurry but everything about him is on the money. I can only pray they make an Isaac Hayes "The Duke".
And the Scout Trooper means a speeder bike is coming down the line - WOOT!!!!
Sideshow uses the AWFUL Prometheus body. It poses horribly and the knee and ankle joints couldn't be more useless. Anybody who has any releases as of late knows what I mean. I have the Joker, Catwoman, Baroness, and Stormshadow and they all need stands.. annoying.
ReplyDeleteI hope Sideshow will see this...
ReplyDelete#1. Deadpool - please this ain't punisher from a non-sideshow brand. Load up on the weapons. Toybiz ML Series 6 Deadpool is more loaded than this!
#2. Wolverine - consider adding the following: Unmasked head sculpt, removable cigar (try magnetic), removable claws, extra bone claws, mask (cloth material something the figure can hold).
#3. Cad Bane - The head looks big. I think it's the perfect time to release a figure that can wear a helmet. I think Medicom did this for their Jango Fett.
#4. C3PO - i hope there is a light-up eyes feature, extra C3PO parts (when C3PO was about to be recyced).
#5. Luke Sywalker (X-Wing pilot) - come on the outfit looks dirty, no weathering to make it realistic
#6. Scout Trooper - Yes finally. Can we expect a Clone Commander wearing the same helmet soon?
#7. Snake -nah, its a quick pass. Limit to 100 maybe it'll get sold out.
I was hoping they've improved the Prometheus... guess not, eh? Well, then have to factor another $60 or so for a Hot Toys TT and to do some bodyswapping (of course, that will devalue your figure)... but I may do that to get the 'perfect' Deadpool!
ReplyDeleteWolverine, those teeth... that costume, back to the drawing board, SS!
Any indication of the price of deadpool and wolverine?
ReplyDeleteNope. Guess we have to wait for more details from Sideshow.
