12-inch figures feature strongly in all my hauls because I really dig this hobby of collecting 1/6 scale figures. It all started way back in 1994 (that's the last century, by the way) and I still haven't stopped yet. What's a 49-year-old man doing playing with toys / collectibles? I simply ENJOY it! I really appreciate the details of the figure and the process that went into putting the figure together for sale, and then me having to assemble the figure and taking pictures of the figure in various poses – sometimes even having to take them apart for closer examination – it's really a FUN thing to do. And being able to share them on my toy blog is all part of the sweet deal. Sometimes I even get figures sent to me for reviews - how cool is that! I wouldn't want it any other way.
The cover picture for the ZCWO 1/6 scale United States Riot Police "Shawn" boxed figure set (preview pictures posted earlier HERE) looks more like a scene from a post-apocalyptic future than a riot scene which I think ZCWO was trying to portray. The picture seems to fit the world of Mad Max (just saw the trailer and am very excited to see the movie when it comes out). I think the box background would work well with the post-apocalyptic figures I have, 1/6 scale Denzel Washington as Eli from "Book of Eli" (review of MC Toys 1/6 scale The End Walker 12-inch figure posted HERE and HERE) and 12-inch Will Smith as Robert Neville from "I am Legend" (review of MC Toys 1/6 scale Trialmaster Leather Jacket suit HERE)

This is the Brother Production Present 1:6 scale Custom Hand Made "Mission Important" 12-inch Action Figure which was previewed earlier HERE. This figure appears to be inspired by Tom Cruise character in "Mission: Impossible III" (marketed as M:i:III, M:I-3, or Mission: Impossible 3), a 2006 American action spy film co-written and directed by J.J. Abrams, his first film as a director, with Tom Cruise reprising his role of IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
This Funko POP! Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Dancing Groot Bobble Action Figure came about after the movie was released and everyone who watched the movie fell in love with the dancing Groot shown at the end of the film. Guardians of the Galaxy grossed over $771 million worldwide and is the highest-grossing superhero film of 2014. A sequel has been announced and is scheduled to be released on May 5, 2017.
Funko POP! Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Drax and Gamera figures were all planned together and released as a set earlier, hence the running numbers from 47 to 52. Dancing Groot was an afterthought (hence number 65) due to the overwhelming consumer demand and was only released recently, in time for Christmas. I'm glad I got mine :)
I got these Mega Bloks Call of Duty Desert Troopers and Mega Bloks Call of Duty Juggernaut because they were on sale and they look like it could be FUN, and having FUN is what it is all about! The articulation shown on these mini figures (they are really quite tiny) intrigued me and I wanted to check them out.
That's all for now! Later, dudes.
Those Call of Duty Megabloks are awesome. The weapons and gear is modular so you can customize.
ReplyDeleteWe have quite a few of the sets, including some Call of Duty zombie sets too (not as awesome as the soldiers, but still cool).
I think you're going to love those Mega Blocks CoD figures. I'm hooked on building my mini-army with them. I have them all over my workspace and shelves attacking my Stikfas. I, uh, also have Dancing Groot.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys (Kaido and Bill) for the approval of the CoD figures :) I haven't got to them yet but reading both your comments reinforces my belief that these mini figs are good to go.
ReplyDeleteBill, don't be shy about Dancing Groot haha we 1:6 Hardcore MANLY MEN are allowed to succumb to these cute stuff sometimes LOL
Those CoD minifigs are so great, much better than Megabloks Halo because they have a forearm swivel so that they can actually hold their rifles properly!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up some new sets last weekend, including a sniper unit and this night ops rappelling one. Really cool sets!
Really, I don't think I can ask for much more except for them to make some bad guys to fight with - I've seen some custom bad guys made with the Assassin's Creed Megabloks online.
