Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 104th Battalion Wolfpack Clone Trooper 12-inch Figure Review II

continued from previous post...

Under the command of Jedi General Plo Koon and Commander Wolffe, the loyal Clone Troopers of the Wolfpack squad identify themselves with a distinctive blue-grey decor, designed to honor fallen comrades at the hands of General Grievous during the Battle of Abregado.

What caught my eye with this Star Wars 1/6th scale Wolfpack Clone Trooper from the 104th Battalion by Sideshow Collectibles was the wolf symbol on his helmet. Since I doubt there were wolves in the Star Wars universe as all these events happened in a galaxy far far away, I wonder what it might have been if these Wolfpack Clone Troopers were stationed on Earth.

Needless to say, I had to take some pictures of this recently released Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 104th Battalion Wolfpack Clone Trooper 12-inch Figure beside a 1:6 scale wolf creature. For those of you who are curious to know, the wolf is a 1/6 scale articulated Timber from Sideshow Collectibles G.I. Joe 12-inch Snake Eyes And 1/6 scale Timber Figure Set. I had posted pictures of Timber Wolf previously on my toy blog HERE as well as pictures of Timber and Hot Toys 1/6 scale G.I. Joe Retaliation Snake Eyes 12-inch figure HERE in an entry titled "Fetch that Cobra!"

Having already covered the box and contents plus pictures of this Sideshow Collectibles 1/6 scale Wolfpack Clone Trooper with his JT-12 Jet Pack and DC-15A Blaster Rifle with Optional Spear Attachment in the first part review posted HERE, I thought I'll post pictures of this Wolfpack Clone Trooper with his Backpack (comes with Fabric Cover) and DC-15S Blaster Carbine. The weapons are pretty much standard issue with all the 12-inch Clone Troopers but not all of them have jet packs and this is the first Clone Trooper I have that comes with a backpack.

Here's the Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 104th Battalion Wolfpack Clone Trooper 12-inch Figure all poised for an assault on the Separatists' battle droids. Scroll down for the turnaround views of this latest Clone Trooper from Sideshow's Militaries of Star Wars series

Check out the close-up shots of the Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 104th Battalion Wolfpack Clone Trooper 12-inch Figure with backpack and DC-15S Blaster Carbine. I really like the full body armor and accessories. My only gripe is the 12-inch body which comes with weak and loose joints, making posing difficult and the figure can hardly stand on its own without the aid of a figure display stand.

  1. Great photos, Alex!

Do you know if this figure was issued after the Sideshow Batman? I thought Sideshow had improved joint quality/looseness with their Batman release.

  2. Yes it is, Kaido. That's why I assumed the body would be the improved version but it's not :( same crappy body as before. I think they may have produced too many of these and need to clear their inventory. That's why Sideshow is always releasing clone troopers.

  4. I'm not sure which body works best as I haven't tried it myself. There's also the concern that the black fabric body glove might tear when you remove the armor.
