New from Art Figures: 1/6th scale Soldiers of Fortune 3 12" action figure (JCVD as Jean Vilain)

This is Art Figures next figure to be released: a 1/6 scale Soldiers of Fortune 3 action figure. This particular 12-inch figure looks a lot like Jean-Claude Van Damme (aka JCVD) who portrayed Jean Vilain in "The Expendables 2" movie. Jean Vilain, leader of an Albanian criminal group known as the Sang goes up against Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his team of merry men, and almost takes them out. In the end, there is the duel to the death between Ross and Vilain. I don't have to tell you who won since Expendables 3 has already been released.

Art Figures have already released the 1/6 scale Soldiers of Fortune 12-inch action figure who happens to resemble Jason Statham as former SAS soldier Lee Christmas in "The Expendables 2" (reviewed in my toy blog posts HERE, HERE and HERE) as well as 1/6 scale Soldiers Of Fortune 2 Dolph Lungren as Gunner Jensen 12-inch figure (posted HERE and HERE) so this will be the third figure from their "Soldiers of Fortune" series.

Play Toy also released a 1/6 scale Jean-Claude Van Damme as Jean Vilain 12-inch figure last year. You can see the pictures and reviews posted HERE, HERE and HERE. Good for comparisons.

  3. Hello Alex, I tried to contact them to provide any photos without the glasses - I can't make a blind pre-order without checking the quality of the head resemblance. Maybe you could ask them and publish the photos here? You're a renowned blogger, maybe they will reply to you.

    Best regards from Poland,

    Tom

  4. Hi Tom, sorry to disappoint you but some companies can't be bothered to answer individual requests as they feel that they are already getting quite a big piece of the overall pie. Art Figures is one of those. They won't answer questions, only take orders because orders equate money / profits and questions don't, especially questions they are not prepared to answer. Isn't it strange that they only publish photos with the glasses on?

  5. Maybe you're right but satisfied clients also equal money :-) if they trick customers into a squint-eyed-0%likeness-Jean-Claude-van-Damme-figure they won't satisfy any clients... Don't know what to do...

  6. If you would take a chance and wait for the product to be released, then you can decide based on actual product pics. Art Figures products aren't selling out fast like they used to so I'm pretty sure there'll be quite a few available in the market after its release.
