This is the Hasbro released 1:6 scale Christopher Lee as Count Dooku / Darth Tyranus 12-inch figure from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. In the film, Lee is former Jedi Master who falls to the dark side of the Force and becomes Darth Sidious's second apprentice, the founder of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the instigator of the Clone Wars. Lee did most of the swordplay himself, though a double was required for the long shots with more vigorous footwork.
Introduced in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku) appears as the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a federation of planetary systems rebelling against the Galactic Republic due to his anger by its bureaucracy as well as the apparent unwillingness of the Jedi Council to aid oppressed galactic systems.

Count Dooku's lightsaber was unique. He studied Jedi Archives records to create a curved lightsaber of the type that was standard in the heyday of Form II lightsaber combat. The curved hilt of Dooku's lightsaber allows for superior finesse and precise blade control. This design gives Dooku an edge when facing Jedi, who have mostly trained to use lightsabers to deflect blaster bolts.

Thanks for sharing this figure. It's a better likeness than the Sideshow one.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I can still watch him online and on DVD.
Thanks for sharing the link and pics. That didn't look like him at all LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome ;-)
ReplyDeleteAlas, it doesn't, lol.
Is this the Hasbro version?
ReplyDeleteThat's outstanding!! Until I saw the hands, I thought it was from sideshow. It's sad that Hasbro's gone downhill with their Star Wars figures since then (except for the black series).
