Lucius Fox is a fictional character appearing in Batman comic books by DC Comics. He was created by John Calnan, and first appeared in Batman #307 (January 1979). As a supporting character, he acts as Bruce Wayne's business manager who supposedly unknowingly runs the business interests that supply Batman's equipment needs as well as financing his operations. Lucius Fox has been featured in various media adaptions, most notably by Morgan Freeman in the Christopher Nolan Batman films.
In Batman Begins, Fox is a research head and friend of Bruce Wayne's late father Thomas Wayne who is demoted by Wayne Enterprises CEO William Earle to the Applied Sciences division, which involves overseeing the supplies of Wayne Enterprises' aborted research projects and prototypes. Upon returning to the business, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) strikes up a fast friendship which allows him to all but recruit Fox as his armorer for his Batman activities.

The front of the box does not give you any hint of what you are actually getting. The nondescript packaging offers no clue whatsoever of what's inside the box and if you didn't know better, you might just dismiss this as something not worth getting. The back of the box has a picture of a person who looks very much like actor Morgan Freeman which suggests that "Weapon Advisor" might refer to Freeman's role as Lucius Fox in the Christopher Nolan Batman films where Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox supplies the equipment that Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman uses for his fight against crime in Gotham City. The plot thickens...
Removing the cover / lid reveals the Virtual Toys 12-inch Weapon Advisor figure lying inside the top black foam tray with two pairs of extra hands and additional pair of wrist pegs.
His 1:6 scale accessories are all packed neatly inside the bottom tray.
Here's the Virtual Toys 1/6th scale Weapon Advisor aka 12-inch Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox figure out of the box, wearing Blue shirt under sweater vest, Bow Tie, Blue suit jacket, Beige slacks / pants, Brown belt, Brown boots. Scroll down to see the turnaround views.
Here's the Virtual Toys 1/6 scale Weapon Advisor 12-inch action figure without his blue suit jacket, revealing the sweater vest he wears on top of the blue long sleeve shirt.
Virtual Toys 1/6th scale Weapon Advisor 12-inch figure appears to have a paunch / pot belly which is a rather accurate portrayal of the actor in question :p
The paunch is actually a "fat suit" with a padded belly worn by the figure underneath his blue long sleeve shirt - talk about being movie accurate LOL
Check out the close-up pictures / views of the Virtual Toys Weapon Advisor 1/6th scale head sculpt. The resemblance and likeness to Morgan Freeman is pretty much spot on and it cannot be mistaken for anyone else. Morgan Freeman is an American actor, film director, and narrator. Freeman has received Academy Award nominations for his performances in Street Smart, Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption and Invictus, and won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2005 for Million Dollar Baby. He has also won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Freeman has appeared in many other box office hits, including Unforgiven, Glory, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Seven, Deep Impact, The Sum of All Fears, Bruce Almighty, Along Came a Spider, The Dark Knight Trilogy, March of the Penguins, The Lego Movie, and Lucy. He is known for his distinctively smooth, deep voice.
Virtual Toys Weapon Advisor 1/6th scale accessories include: Brown coat, Brown scarf, Military computer, Clipboard with Paper, Glasses, Silver Pen, The BAT blueprint, Newspaper, Map, three stickers for computer screen.
The 1:6 scale Wayne Enterprises Applied Sciences Division military computer / laptop is pretty neat with nice details and a sturdy construction. It opens and closes without any issue and it looks to be well protected against hard knocks and high drops.
There's also a mock newspaper "Gotham City Chronicle" with headline: Batkid Saves City and other stories / articles. The Bat blueprint and Gotham City map appears to be 1:6 scale reproductions from those found in "The Dark Knight Manual: Tools, Weapons, Vehicles and Documents from the Batcave" which I had covered in my toy blog HERE.
Close-up pictures taken of the clipboard with paper, silver fountain pen and gold frame glasses
Virtual Toys 1/6th scale Weapon Advisor also comes with a Brown coat and scarf

ReplyDeleteI’ve just come across one of these. The outer box is missing but the inter box is water bandages. The figure is in great condition and everything is complete. I was thinking of selling it but can’t find how much it’s worth. Can you give me any idea of what they sell for
ReplyDeleteHi Adrian, I only collect them and don't sell them so I wouldn't know what the going price is for this.
