Hot Toys unveils 1/6th scale Spider-Man: Homecoming Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man head sculpt and it is stunningly realistic! Hot Toys has proven once again that they are top notch when it comes to realistic and life-like head sculpts and you are really getting a very real looking highly detailed museum quality miniature figure when you buy their Movie Masterpiece Series products.
Gone are the days when a 12-inch figure had the same generic head sculpt and when you posed a bunch of them together, they looked like a clone army. Back then, cloning wasn't even invented. But we cannot forget our past. G.I. Joe and later Action Man were the original action figures and they paved the way for what 1/6th scale figures are today, having evolved and improved from the original toy meant for children to the collectibles targeted at adults.
Nowadays when we look at a figure, we expect the head sculpt to be as realistic as possible so that when seen in pictures, once can be forgiven for mistaking the picture as a screen shot from the movie or the actor's promo pic for the movie / film. We have Hot Toys to thank for that because they certainly paved the way and showed the world how realistic 1/6th scale figures can look and the 12-inch figure collectible market has boomed from there.
