The Joker by Hot Toys

"The Dark Knight" movie could also have been titled, "The Joker" because Heath Ledger was magnificent!! He was so good that I was always anticipating when he'll appear and see how scary he'll get. His disappearing pencil trick, his taunting of Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal, sister of Jake Gyllenhaal whom he developed a screen relationship with in "Brokeback Mountain"), his turn in the interrogation room, his visit to Harvey Dent in the hospital wearing a nurse's uniform and convincing him to become Two Face... there are so many great moments and it's really sad to see him go like that. Rest In Peace, Heath Ledger - you'll be missed.

Not many accessories but who cares? The guns and stuff (RPG which blew up the Tumbler and lead to the Batpod - COOL!!) can easily be obtained and placed in his hands for those movie moments.

His stack of calling cards - Joker cards, dollar bills, knife and extra hands

His outfit is very well sewn and put together. Even though there are so many layers, it doesn't make him look bulky nor puffy and the authenticity is simply amazing!
Oh, and by the way, the suit, it wasn't cheap. You oughta know, you bought it.
"Why so serious?!!" - one of the best lines delivered by Heath Ledger as the Joker. I must admit when "Batman Begins (2005)" ended with Lieutenant James Gordon (Gary Oldman playing a good guy) holding a Joker calling card, I was wondering who could fill the shoes of the Joker. Jack Nicholson's Joker in the Tim Burton Batman movie of 1989 was still fresh in all our minds. Now we are left pondering who else can top the performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker. Simply Brilliant!

The Joker wears an inner shirt, tie, vest, jacket and overcoat. His outfit is his costume and it's very nicely done!

Joker is equipped with a knife with a retractable blade

Another view of his splendid outfit

And his colourful socks (nice touch by Hot Toys) with his clown shoes (no toe-tip blade though)

"Here's my calling card!"

"Good evening, ladies and gentleMAN" - best spoken by the man himself

  8. There's this version (MMS) which was cheaper and then there's the DX version with the rolling eyes - http://toyhaven.blogspot.sg/2009/11/hot-toys-mms-dx01-pars-joker-review-iv.html which was more expensive and had two outfits. There's also a newer version - http://toyhaven.blogspot.sg/2012/06/preview-hot-toys-dx11-dark-knight-16th.html

  10. The one in the video looks to be the one in between, the first DX Joker. The latest version DX11 has just been released so better chance of finding this newer one but it's not going to be easy.

All their products are based on pre-order i.e. you get it if you pre order it as the company only make the numbers pre-ordered so as not to flood the market and cause the price to tumble due to over supply.

You can still try China Square Central or e-bay as some people might have ordered extra to re-sell.

Here's a link for the latest Joker figure - http://www.tfh.com.sg/product_details.php?prod_id=4038

    Cheers
