1/6 scale Iron Monger from "Iron Man" movie

Interesting bit of news floating around the forums. Seems there might be a 1/6 scale Iron Monger. In the "Iron Man (2008)" movie, Jeff Bridges plays Obadiah Stane, Tony Stark's second-in-command and later creates the Iron Monger. The character was called Iron Monger in the comics when he used his armor, but the codename is only referenced in the film when Stane describes himself and Stark as "ironmongers". Due to licensing issues, the company has yet to get clearance so they are calling it "Huge Iron" - LOL XD. It will be approximately 19 inches in height and will be fully articulated with luminescent eyes and arc reactor (batteries operated).

There'll be an operator who's a 12 inches tall, fully articulated figure with T-shirt, Pants and Shoes.

Prototype pictures from their website: http://www.bombertoys.com/home.htm - interesting name for a start-up company too. You know what they say about bombs or when something bombs...

Me thinks the Soldier Story PMC Instructor has a much better resemblance and likeness to Jeff Bridges than this figure (see my post HERE).

Jeff Bridges will reprise his role as Kevin Flynn in the yet-to-be-released "Tron Legacy (2010)", a follow-up to "Tron (1982)". [ Can't wait ] To see what the cool vehicles were like in "Tron", check out the Kubrick versions reviewed HERE.

  5. heard HOT TOYS is also doing this figure right???
Is this a model kit to be assembled or pre-assembled?
this looks bigger than the S.A.F.S you previewed recently... will the price tag be $1200 too?!?
I wish they do the robot(?) in the Matrix III movie that has huge gatling guns(?) that would be awesome in 1/6 scale!!!

  6. hey AL, the company was very vague about their product - not much information other than some pictures posted. If Hot Toys is doing this figure, then better hold off till we see what Hot Toys can do with this baby. If Hot Toys were to produce the APU (Armored Personnel Unit) of the Matrix films in 1/6 scale, it would definitely be AWESOME and won't be so ridiculously priced like the Toys McCoy / Medicom SAFS!
