Mattel Christopher Reeve 12" Superman Sneak Peek

Mattel has unveiled their upcoming 1:6 scale 12-inch Christopher Reeve Superman at SDCC 2010


Christopher Reeve (September 25, 1952 – October 10, 2004) achieved stardom for his acting achievements, including his notable motion picture portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman in the big budget film, "Superman: The Movie (1978)".

  1. Mmm...not a bad one from Mattel. Guess they are trying into entering the 1/6 market. If they are into the high volume production thingy with this (don't think i ever heard of limited production from Mattel), don't think they would ever beat Hot Toys.

  2. Mattel could never beat Hot Toys since one is mass market and one is collectible focused but the body type Mattel is producing offers a good alternative for muscle body type. Just got to figure out how to switch heads. Mattel had already released a 12-inch Terrance Stamp General Zod earlier.

    If Mattel intends on making more "limited" figures, then they'd best get their act together and dump Digital River for their online sales. It's damn near impossible to get half of their online exclusives without buying that ridiculous subscription!
