  1. Figure looks great but I don't remember that shotgun in the movie. Hopefully they will switch it to the spas 12 he used in the movie and include the additional machine gun from the police station scene.

  2. Apparently, following the skirmish at the Tech Noir nightclub, the Terminator acquires a 12-gauge Ithaca 37 shotgun from the police car he hijacks after he is knocked in the middle of the street by Kyle and Sarah's car. He keeps it with him while he stalks Kyle and Sarah in the multi-storey Car Park. He then uses it to exchange fire with Kyle in the ensuing chase.

  3. Do you think this one is worth getting? Because I think hot Toys will come with the battle damaged versions for sure - they will milk the hell out of this!
Although I would love an 80s Sarah Connor with big hair and that big ass scooter.

  5. Hai Alex!

Ever since I bumped into ur blog mid 2008, I've been addicted to ur blogs and became an avid fan of your blog.

Sometimes I try my best not to be tempted to visit ur blog coz I might get the tendency to fill up my crib space another collection all because of your review! :)

Anyway, IMHO, you are by far the best reviewer in South east Asia including Fortress of Testicular Fortitude blog with your awesome massive collection of course! Your reviews are well written with in depth research with a good twist sense of humour especially in the weapons featured in the scale figures! Kudos to your excellent reviews

May I suggest can you add a search query for Toy Haven so that I can easily search the figures. Thanks!

    Avid fan from Msia.

  7. Hi Alex,

Superb & perfect work on this Arnold's "Terminator" figure but the jean jacket should be more tight.

    Congratul...

    Thanks,
    Kin.

  9. Hey Alex,

You have a great site here, and kudos for your knowledge on all of these pieces.

I started out late in the game, and am just beginning to get my collection up and running. I curently have a couple of pieces such as Blade from Marvel, Daredevil, a couple of Joe pieces, an Iron Man (the cheap plastic one), A couple of bluebox pieces, and some Swat members. I also have Richard Marchinko...

Anyway, any advice you can give starting collectors. Would you mind sharing your distributor. I usually purchase from EBAY, Cobstar, Amazon. and a couple of other sites... Anybody you think or know is realy good. I would appreciate it.

I left a post on another piece on your site but I cant find it, wasnt sure if you replied.

    Regards,

  10. Hi Peter (love your blog name :>)

I did reply you on the post which you left your comment (http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2010/08/loading-toys-seal-team-set-review.html)

no worries, here's the reply i gave:

here are two stores you can go to
    - they have been around for a while so they should be pretty reliable
    (no bad reps so far)

    http://www.monkeydepot.com/

    http://www.echobasetoys.com/Store_Info_Pages/PreOrders.htm

sometimes products are very new & may not be up for pre-order so soon,
you may have to ask them

as for myself, i get all my stuff locally through my dealer

    http://eshop.tfh.com.sg/

they are able to get almost anything for me as long as it is current and even when i don't pre-order and because they are local, i just go and pick up my stuff when they arrive :)

you can also try Cotswold Collectibles

    http://www.gijoeelite.com/f_home.asp

they have been around for ages - they were already on the scene before I started my collection in 1994

I'm not sure of regular magazines just on 1/6 figures but there are books and references, cotswold has them too

  11. Hey Alex.
Thanks for the recommendations, I will start using them. It looks like they have many good pieces. I looked on one of the sites for the Hellboy II piece and they wanted $450 for it, but I saw it on ebay for $300. You think its worth getting it from Ebay instead. It was protected by ebays buyer protection plan?

  12. hey Peter, i always try to pay less for a figure if i can but if it's an e-bay purchase, have to check the seller's credibility (how often and how many times he has sold stuff & are there any bad experiences by others i.e. negative comments)

be careful with Hellboy as HT used a rubber body & nowadays they have stopped doing that (either the process of production is too expensive OR the rubber is prone to cracking - I've some bad experience with that; see my post: http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2009/03/16-scale-adidas-superstar.html

read the comments posted between me and bighatdino
