Hot Toys "T2" T-1000 Motorcycle Cop REVIEW IV

This is the Hot Toys MMS129 (Movie Masterpiece Series) Collector's Edition T-1000 (Robert Patrick) 1/6th scale collectible figure wearing the Highway Patrol Officer's outfit / uniform which was included with the boxed set (box packaging and contents reviewed earlier here).

The set comes with an additional black zip-up highway patrol officer jacket with LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) badge, One (1) pair of dark blue highway patrol officer pants with white stripes on both sides, One (1) pair of leather-like knee-high black riding boots, police crash helmet or motorcycle helmet, Ray Ban Mercury mirror lens sunglasses, and Heckler & Koch SP89 SMG submachine gun (mocked up as H&K MP5K) with a removable magazine.

You can strip the LAPD dark blue police uniform off the base figure and dress the T-1000 in the LAPD motorcycle cop uniform OR you can purchase a Hot Toys 1/6 scale 12-inch TrueType Figure (Narrow Shoulder version, Caucasian preferred) for just that purpose. This way, you get two figures for the price of one. In this instance, I used the recently released new generation TrueType TTM-14 Caucasian Male (Narrow Shoulder, Long Hair) body set (see my post here for whose headsculpt it resembles).

And here's how the T-1000 looks with crash helmet and the highway patrol officer's uniform. In order to keep the original T-1000 figure intact without missing any particular piece of his uniform and gear / accessories (see my review here of the figure complete with all his kit), this highway patrol officer is missing his inner shirt. He is wearing an additional (NOT included) white round neck T-shirt under his black police jacket.

By keeping the black highway patrol officer jacket zipped up almost all the way, you can almost get away with not having the inner dark blue shirt. And since there isn't a spare dark blue shirt lying around, this will have to do :)

The T-1000 motorcycle policeman is armed with the Heckler & Koch SP89 SMG submachine gun (mocked up as H&K MP5K) with a removable magazine. While fleeing from the Cyberdyne building, the Connors and the T-800 find themselves being pursued by the T-1000 piloting a stolen police helicopter and brandishing an Heckler & Koch SP89, mocked up as an MP5K by adding an MP5K foregrip and converting it to full auto.

The police belt this 1/6 scale T-1000 motorbike cop is wearing is also NOT included with this set. I did not want to remove the included police equipment belt (which holds two pistol magazines in double-magazine pouch, torchlight in ring holder, radio walkie-talkie in holder, a pair of metal-like handcuffs in pouch and left-hand side pistol holster) from the other T-1000 figure. The belt and accessories this highway patrol officer is wearing comes from Dragon Models. They'd released quite a number of police officers in the past and this belt with gear was put together from loose 1/6 Dragon items.

The LAPD highway patrol officer also has four pockets at the back of his dark blue highway patrol officer pants. It is different from the standard police officer's because it has two white stripes at the sides.

The pair of leather-like 1/6 scale knee-high black riding boots are also very nicely done and as always with Hot Toys figures, these are "boot feet" i.e. he has no feet. The round ball-shaped pegs at the end of his legs connect to the holes found inside the boots.

Hot Toys was also quite clever with the 1/6 scale police motorcycle helmet construction. The helmet is made up of two parts (the connecting parts are well hidden by the two helmet portions - the white upper portion and black lower half). You basically put the Ray Ban Mercury mirror lens sunglasses on first before connecting the helmet together. Hot Toys had provided an Instruction Sheet for this.

The black zip-up highway patrol officer jacket is very well produced with fine stitching and has two pockets in front with a metal-like LAPD police badge and patches on both sleeves. The patches seem to be printed on a reflective material.

The 1/6 Dragon police belt I managed to find is thin enough to go through the pant loops and fits nicely too :) I equipped the T-1000 with two pistol magazines in double-magazine pouch, right-hand side pistol holster with pistol, mini torchlight in holder, radio walkie-talkie in holder, a pair of metal-like handcuffs in pouch and police baton in pouch.

The 1/6 scale Heckler & Koch SP89 SMG submachine gun (mocked up as H&K MP5K by adding an MP5K foregrip and converting it to full auto mode) with a removable magazine. They are recognized as SP89s by their lack of a paddle magazine release behind the magazine and the lack of a push pin lower receiver. That's how movie-accurate Hot Toys is haha; instead of arming the T-1000 motorcycle cop with a 1/6 MP5K, they went with the H&K SP89 SMG in line with the film.

Whichever way you look at it, this is a fine looking LAPD highway patrol officer

Another view of the Heckler & Koch SP89, mocked up as an MP5K

Here's a closer look at the shoulder patches clearly stating "Los Angeles Police"

And here's the T-1000 highway patrol officer standing beside the standard T-1000 in dark blue LAPD police uniform with the alternative head sculpt and other accessories (all covered in REVIEW III)

And here are some of the 1/6 cast from all the Terminator movies (click on the picture for a larger and better view :>)
