  2. Looks a bit iffy to me. I'd have to wait and see the final product release before I commit.

But that's just me Guru Alex, how about you? Are you getting it?

  4. Its US$136 on a malaysia toy website.

    Price should be reasonable enough.

  5. It looks kinda cheap and... spandexy. Not to say that it's sexy but I feel like anyone could have just sewn their own costume and put it on a Truetype Bod or sth.

  6. if it doesn't come with a tobey scult, I think the figure will fail, because then, to my knowledge, medicom wins. I know medicom made a fig like this with the tobey hs, but i guess thats what ebay's for! What do you think Alex?

  8. It seems that this Hot Toys Spider-Man figure has a fair share of likes and dislikes. It's a tough one because Spider-Man played a big part in my comic-reading childhood & growing adult days :)

I don't like that HT made Spidey look muscular (the biceps look BIG in the first picture) because Spidey wasn't BUT this is one of the most flexible 12-inch costumed Spidey I've ever seen. Medicom's Spider-Man figure was too rigid because of the leather-like costume and not as movie-accurate as this HT Spidey is. The protruding lines of the webbing on his costume and the spider symbol / icon is pretty well done, along with the eyes on the mask. These would be quite difficult to sew on and it seems Hot Toys are able to replicate the screen version into 1/6 scale.

Too bad there's no Tobey McQuire as Peter Parker head sculpt but that might come with the black costume version (Hot Toys already started the ball rolling)

What can I say? I'm IN on this and looking forward to MORE good stuff to come from Hot Toys

  9. the only thing kinda "stopping" me from getting this is, it seems like Hot Toys version doesn't have any ankle articulation..and that boot looks "plasticky". Still a great figure though and i don't really care much about the Tobey HS since i won't display it with his mask off.
