My Star Wars Collection - updated

My Star Wars collection of 1/6 figures from Hasbro, Marmit, Medicom and Sideshow plus Kubrick and some Legos. Star Wars was the movie that changed many people's perception of how movies could be made and what entertainment was all about. Merchandising became a buzz word and many children as well as grown-ups were delighted as a result. Now you could take away a part of the film as a souvenir/memorabilia that you could cherish, something to remind you that for that two and a half hours or more, you were immersed in another world and you were privy to all that happened in that world! May the Force be with you :)

Anakin Skywalker, boy slave and pod-racer with Hangar Deck Scrubber Droid,  Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi (only time he's without a beard), Padme Naberrie (Queen Amidala) at the battle on Naboo (if you used the word "Naboo" locally, you could get bitten up), Qui-Gon Jin, Jar Jar Binks (mesa thinkth George was loco when he thought of this chararcter), Pit Droids, Padme at the battle on Geonosis, Mace Windu (one of those rare movies where Samuel L (M*therF****r) Jackson didn't use any swear words although you could still hear him utter the words in your head when he gave the dirty look) and Anakin, Jedi Knight before he turned to the Dark side of the Force (interestingly,  Hayden Kristensen reunited with Samuel L Jackson in "Jumper")

Star Wars Episodes 2 & 3 Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor did a damn fine job portraying young Ben Kenobi), old Ben, Farmboy Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and a very forgettable furry Chewbacca (let's not go there)

Watto, Senate Guard, Chancellor Valorum, Battle Droid and Darth Maul

Count Dooku, Super Battle Droid and Palpatine (Darth Sidious)

General Grievous, Episode 2 Clone Troopers and Asajj Ventress

Princess Leia Organa, Admiral Ackbar, Old Ben Kenobi, Luke X-Wing Pilot, Yavin IV Luke, Ceremonial Dress Leia, Han Solo and C3PO

C3P0 and R2D2, Hoth Han Solo, Bespin Han Solo, Dagobah Luke with Yoda and Chewbacca with Cloud City C3P0 ("break apart" version)

Grand Moff Tarkin,  Death Star Trooper, Commander Praji, Death Star Gunner, Tie Fighter Pilot, Emperor Palpatine, Imperial RoyalGuard and Stormtrooper

Lando Calrissian, Cloud City Han Solo, Carbonite Han, Princess Leia Organa as Bounty Hunter Boushh, Han Solo just before being flash-frozen, George Lucas, R2D2 as waiter/drinks server and Slave Leia (hubba hubba - many a Star Wars fan's fantasy and used to good comic effect in Friends, The '70s show and recently in Chuck)

Behind Slave Leia, Jedi Knight Luke, Endor Han Solo, Redeemed Anakin Skywalker, Endor trooper and Wicket the Ewok

Aurra Sing, Zam Wesell, Jango Fett, Ponda Baba, Tusken Raider, 4-Lom, Bossk, Zuckuss and Greedo

Medicom Star Wars figures in the first row, followed by Marmit Star Wars figures

Medicom Episode III Clone Trooper, Hasbro's AT-AT Driver and Snowtrooper, Jango Fett and Marmit AT-AT Driver

  3. Yes, you've inspired me to--go spend $ on eBay!

SW is my main thing, with a special focus on Vader. We're in the process of moving, which will open up a bit more space for 1/6 figures. So over the past couple weeks, I've been filling in missing pieces--Hasbro Imperials (The Death Star Droid is actually good-looking!), young Anakins, and the new Sideshow Hobbits.

    Thanks again. Keep in touch!
