Windtalkers (2002) - Group shots

And now the customary group shots - first up, Nicholas Cage/SGT Joe Enders and Adam Beach/PVT Ben Yahzee

And Christian Slater/SGT Pete Ox Anderson makes up the trio

The basic clothing of the US Marines was the two-piece USMC "dungaree" uniform, which had a flapless pocket on the left breast with the USMC "globe and anchor" (cherished symbol of this famous corps) design stencilled onto it and the M1 steel helmet with "beach" design camouflage cloth cover, almost universally seen as the symbol of a Marine in combat. SGT Joe Enders wears the camouflage top which the Marines found to be ineffective in providing concealment in the jungles of the South Pacific. The Marine units actually found that plain olive drab clothing was less visible when troops were moving. The camouflage uniforms only had the advantage when held still, such as when used by a sniper placed in a static position. This uniform first saw service in Saipan (June 1944) and was used mixed with the earlier versions of the uniform through the end of the war. The USMC would become the first in the US armed forces to introduce the digital camouflage in their MARPAT (MARine PATtern) MCCUU (Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform).
