Windtalkers (2002) - Sergeant Ox Anderson

Sergeant Ox Anderson (played by Christian Slater) was also given the same assignment as Sergeant Joe Enders i.e. protect the code at all costs, even if it meant taking the life of the code talker. This is also Slater's second movie with John Woo, the first being "Broken Arrow (1996)" alongside John Travolta upon his great comeback, thanks to Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction(1994)" which also starred Samuel L Jackson. Come to think of it, both Christian Slater and Nicholas Cage played the good guy against John Travolta's bad guy in the two John Woo films before making Windtalkers together. Slater's assignment as SGT Ox Anderson was protecting Navajo Charlie Whitehorse (played by Roger Willie) when the US Marines landed at Saipan. In the ensuing battle, Anderson is decapitated defending Whitehorse and Enders followed his orders to protect the Navajo code by killing Whitehorse and his Japanese captors with a grenade.

Dragon got it wrong and listed Slater as "Ox Henderson" when it should be "Sergeant Pete Ox Anderson"

Mighty fine sculpt by Dragon again, three in a row!

Too bad they got his ID wrong but at least they are consistent with the box cover

SGT Anderson is armed with his Thompson SMG with compensator attached and his trusty sidearm, the M1911 Colt .45 9mm pistol
