Leon The Professional (1994) - revisited

Another professional hitman other than Duke Togo (Golgo 13) is "Léon: The Professional", Luc Besson's 1994 film starring Jean Reno as Léon, a very young Natalie Portman in her first starring role as Mathilda (she of Star Wars Queen Amidala fame) and Gary Oldman as a corrupt DEA agent Norman "Stan" Stansfield (now famous as Commissioner James "Jim" Gordon from Batman and Batman The Dark Knight). Already covered Léon earlier but this post would also cover BBI's Lucifer, Sniper Assassin because almost everything found on Léon is from Lucifer.

Léon is wearing Lucifer's black Polo T-shirt, "leather" load-bearing vest attached to a belt with holster for his .22 caliber Ruger Mk-3 pistol. The vest is very similar to the one Léon wore in the movie except that it is brown leather and not black. In the movie, Léon (Jean Reno) has many weapons but Léon's signature pistols are Beretta 92F models with compensators and suppressors. Léon also packs a black Smith & Wesson Model 686 revolver in several scenes.

Lucifer came with very nice accessories including a metal briefcase, two flash-bang grenades, and two baseball type CS Incendiary grenades, all with safety rings still attached.

The metal briefcase opens to reveal a fully dismantled AR-7 sniper rifle which can be assembled.

The barrel, main firing mechanism including trigger and a working bolt, and one spare magazine are all hidden in the butt stock which comes with a butt plate cover as well.

There's an additional heavier barrel for the AR-7 sniper rifle too. In the James Bond movie "From Russia With Love (1963)" starring Sean Connery as the MI6 agent (that role has since gone to Daniel Craig), Bond was equipped with an Armalite AR-7 sniper rifle (a production item which can actually be broken down and fitted into its stock) which he used to shoot down a helicopter. Lucifer also came with a .22 caliber Ruger Mk-3 pistol with two clips.

Finally Léon puts on his coat

Lucifer's coat (now Léon's) has a knife in sheath hidden inside.

Now where's the milk?

  1. Hey bro, I have the DVD which I asked my friend to buy from US. For Jean 12inch figure, I only have the one released from Dragon "Wasabi Version". Will it look nice if you put on this outfit with the Dragon figure? Because I think the likeness of Jean released from Dragon is quite ok.
