Iron Man casts out Nick Fury

Despite Samuel L Jackson’s brief appearance as Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man, the Spirit actor recently told the LA Times that he might not be participating in the next feature - or the already announced Avengers franchise - after all.
"There was a huge kind of negotiation that broke down. I don’t know. Maybe I won’t be Nick Fury. Maybe somebody else will be Nick Fury or maybe Nick Fury won’t be in it. There seems to be an economic crisis in the Marvel Comics world so [they’re saying to me], ‘We’re not making that deal.’”
Guess Samuel L Jackson's giving Marvel the shaft!

As John Shaft, Samuel L Jackson investigates a racially motivated murder committed by bad boy Walter Wade (Christian Bale before he became Batman), the son of a wealthy tycoon and has to fight off corrupt officers in order to bring Wade to justice. Shaft's most powerful weapon is his mouth and the expletives he shoots out from it (ha!ha!) - who else but Samuel L Jackson can carry it off.

The man can be one mean mutherf***** when he wants to be.

In "Snakes on a Plane" released in 2006, Samuel L Jackson played FBI agent Neville Flynn escorting a key witness of a murder to testify a case in Los Angeles. He has to get hold of the situation and get rid of all the venomous snakes that had been released on the plane in an attempt to bring the plane down before it reaches its destination.
His famous phrase? "Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherf***ing snakes on this motherf***ing plane!"
Right now, he probably wants to shoot the money grabbing snakes at Marvel - LOL

Besides casting Samuel L Jackson out of Iron Man 2, Terrence Howard had also been replaced by Don Cheadle (Ocean's Eleven) as Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark's best friend. Meanwhile, Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) is slated to play Soviet spy Natasha Romanoff, better known as Black Widow, the hot chick with the high-tech, skintight costume (reminds me of BBI's Mystere). Sam Rockwell (Frost/Nixon) will take on “money dude” Justin Hammer, who’s considered to be Tony Stark’s corporate rival. Mickey Rourke, fresh from his Golden Globe win as a wrestler might also be playing a villain. Iron Man 2 is scheduled for release on May 7, 2010.
