Jason Statham by Loading Toys

Coming soon from Loading Toys, "The Courier" with head sculpt bearing a strong resemblance to British actor and action man Jason Statham, famous for his Alpha Male roles in "The Transporter (2002)", "Transporter 2 (2005)" and the recent "Transporter 3 (2008)" as Frank Martin, as well as "The Italian Job (2003)", "Collateral (2004)" as Frank Martin (cameo), "Crank (2006)", "Rogue Assasin (2007)" and "Death Race (2008)".

It's about time somebody released a figure with his likeness and after what Loading Toys did with a certain James Bond figure, this should be good :)

The Courier will come with military sweater, tactical pants, diplomatic bag, G18C with extended magazine and 511 Low Caliga

Loading Toys also included an image of two glow-in-the-dark light sticks - wonder how that's going to turn out? Just have to wait and see.

Quite a good likeness IMHO

Loading Toys' "The Courier (Jason Statham)" finally arrives - pictures here

UPDATE August 20, 2010: An even better Jason Statham likeness in the blog entry: "1:6 Jason Statham as Frank Martin in Transporter 3"!

  1. Hmmm. Nice, but the nose just isn't quite right, and I think they've misjudged the extend of his underbite :)

  2. You have a very keen eye, bighatdino :) i'm just happy somebody decided to make a figure with his likeness. plonk his head onto a Saturday Toys suit and he'll be all ready to transport anything for you for the right price, no questions asked.

BTW, nice to know you've got your own blog going :)

  3. If someone does a coat that looks like a camelhair coat, then you could have him as Bacon from Lock Stock :)

A sci-fi outfit would give you him from Ghosts of Mars... there's loads of options.

My blog's not quite what it needs to be, I'm going to be redoing it this year, and will hopefully start posting some of my collection on there. Hopefully :)

When your blog's up and ready, I'll definitely be visiting it regularly for sure ;>

  6. I love your blog man! Can I make a request though? I would love it if you would give some info on the articulation of the figures. It looks like you generally just pose them and set them in a case but I would love to be able to check your site out and know just how playable the figures are. :-) Ill stop by often!

  7. hi marcus, with all the extra head sculpts being released, suits will be the order of the day :) btw in my mind there is ONLY ONE FAVE toy store in Singapore & we both know which one it is - ha! ha!

Hi Thomas, thanks for the compliments and words of encouragement. I like your suggestion about the articulation - I'll definitely try to shoot more of the figures in various poses. It'll make the post even more interesting. Thanks again ;>

  9. Well, this is certainly up there on the to-buy list. Since Lock Stock and Snatch, Jase has never never disappointed. Being miniaturise is due recognition for his achievements.
