A reprogrammed Terminator T-850 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has been sent back in time to protect John Connor (Nick Stahl) and his future wife, Katherine Brewster (Claire Danes) from being terminated by the T-X (Kristanna Loken) or "Terminatrix" which is armed with a full arsenal of advanced weapons from the future, avoiding the restriction of non-living tissue by carrying them internally, including the ability to remotely control most machines.
Popsalute released this T-850 action figure from T3 in 2004. I've covered this figure in the previous post (with a different head sculpt, jacket and weapon) and sometime back as well.
This is the other head sculpt that came with this figure, still with Arnold Schwarzenegger's likeness.
The Terminator procures a Remington 870 shotgun with a high-capacity magazine tube, custom foregrip and heat shield. He then uses the shotgun during the first encounter with the T-X at the veterinary clinic and in the ensuing car chase.
A better view of Popsalute's Terminator's head
Man or Machine? In the end, the Terminator detonates its last remaining hydrogen fuel cell inside the T-X's mouth, iconically exclaiming "You are terminated," destroying them both but fails to prevent Judgment Day from occurring as Skynet launches nuclear missiles and begins the war against humans.
Also included: Sarah Connor's coffin which is actually a weapons cache
Other weapons included: Heckler & Koch G36K with stock removed and a Browning M1919 machine gun fitted with drum magazine and special side-mounted trigger plus shoulder strap
Would have loved a T-X (Kristanna Loken) or "Terminatrix" figure but even the one produced by Popsalute wasn't up to par and not worth paying good money for. A great head sculpt of Kristanna Loken exists (see my post here) but no screen accurate attire is available.
They included a G36C?! Aw, man, I love that rifle! :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware of the coffin came with the figure...cool.
ReplyDeleteHave you rigged him up with that Browning and coffin like in the film?
What's the 'heat shield' about - is it that bit on the barrel (business) end of the shotgun?
hi guys, i liked the weapons that came with this set as they weren't run-of-the-mill, plus the coffin was a bonus.
ReplyDeletethe heat shield is the top piece that goes over the barrel so that you won't get burned by the hot barrel after discharging the rounds.
i haven't rigged him with Browning and coffin yet, perhaps sometime in the future ;)
