Playhouse 1:6 GSG-9 (Low Profile version) Preview

Just when you think you want to stop, it keeps pulling you back in!!!

Another 1:6 set previewed for the new year is this Playhouse GSG-9 (low profile version). Or you can just call it another "24" Jack Bauer figure because he's certainly dressed the part. Have you noticed how the military guys have almost stopped wearing battle dress uniforms and opted for civvies instead? It's the urban jungles they are fighting in now and they are not hunting tigers but tangos (terrorists/targets)

peek-a-boo! guess who's hiding under the hood?

surprise! surprise! it's Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), a key member of CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) from the TV series "24"

Enterbay's 1:6 Jack Bauer head sculpt is certainly better but you'll be paying at least double just for the head because everything else that came with the Enterbay set was just so-so. The whole figure is too small (like he shrunk) and only had minimal accessories. This Playhouse outfit and accessories could certainly improve the look if it could fit him.

Don't like the head sculpt? He still looks nice hooded. A pretty good addition IMHO

SET INCLUDES: APEX VEST, LOGG JACKET, ONE HOLE BALACLAVA, LONG SLEEVE SWEATER, DENIM JEANS, LEATHER BELT,MMG BACKPACK, UNDERPANTS, MP7 HOLSTER, PS1 PADDLE HOLSTER, STORM SINGLE POINT SLING, GERMANY FLAG PATCH, 1/6 HEAD-SCULPT ”BUBE”, S1 BODY, BENDABLE HANDS, HEAT GRIP CT GLOVE-HANDS, LARGE AVIATOR SUNGLASSES, HEROES BOOTS, MP7-A1 PERSONAL DEFENSE WEAPON W/ FRONT & REAR SIGHT, MP7 EXTENDED MAGAZINE, MP7 STANDARD MAGAZINE, EOTECII HOLO SIGHT, P226 PISTOL, PISTOL MAGAZINE

  1. At last! A cheaper alternative to Enterbay and Medicom's versions of Bauer! Where are these going to be available, Alex?
