Cadillac One

The Presidential State Car is the official state car used by the President of the United States. The most recent vehicle to be customized as the presidential car is a GMC Topkick-based, Cadillac-badged limousine often referred to as "Cadillac One" (a reference to the U.S. presidential aircraft, Air Force One) or as "The Beast."

The current presidential limousine entered service on January 20, 2009. According to the manufacturer, General Motors, the "2009 Cadillac Presidential Limousine" is the first not to carry a specific model name. The vehicle's outward appearance carries many current Cadillac styling themes, but doesn't exactly resemble any particular production vehicle. Although a price tag has not been announced, according to London-based newspaper The Guardian, each limousine cost the U.S. tax payers US$300,000.

Ever wonder how other than the 20-car trail of bodyguard vehicles , the president is protected. Well, check out this x-ray illustration of his fully loaded US$300,000 Cadillac One. Click on the picture for a bigger and better view :)

Besides the car, Obama also bulks up. Maybe that's because he has to carry the entire country on his shoulders :)

  1. Driver's window opens just 3 inches "so the driver can pay a toll"?? Lol, and I thought the presidential car whould be exempted from having to pay tolls.

  2. Prince Charles should have use this during the Student Tuition Protest ;)

Any head of state using a car like this, isn't that a sign the world is not a safe place anymore?

  3. Yes, I know about it.
The choice of American president is Cadillac. My choice is to buy one Cadillac but not like the US President. I think the choice of US President is expensive one. So I think to buy one Cadillac with low price.
    Thanks....
