Crazy Owners 1/6 scale Last Samurai Victorian Suit Set

... continued from the previous post

After the futuristic outing in "Minority Report" in 2002, Tom Cruise starred in the Edward Zwick's historical drama "The Last Samurai" in 2003, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination as best actor. In "The Last Samurai", Tom Cruise as Captain Nathan Algren is a man adrift. It is the 1870s and the battles he once fought now seem distant and futile. Once he risked his life for honor and country, but, in the years since the Civil War, the world has changed. Pragmatism has replaced courage, self-interest has taken the place of sacrifice and honor is nowhere to be found - especially out West where his role in the Indian Campaigns ended in disillusionment and sorrow. Somewhere on the unforgiving plains near the banks of the Washita River, Algren lost his soul.

The Crazy Owners 1/6 scale Last Samurai Victorian Suit Set (circa 1868) will come with 1/6 scale head sculpt, white shirt, vest, frock coat, shoulder holster, revolver, trousers with real pockets, boots.

When Algren goes to Japan to help the new Meiji Restoration government train the new Western-style Imperial Japanese Army, Japan is in the middle of drastic civil change, and the new Western-style additions to society have not gone unopposed.

And this is as Western as they come. Tom Cruise as Captain Nathan Algren is dressed from head to toe in a Victorian Suit to be released by Crazy Owners.

For other more modern looking Men in suits, check out my label "Men in Suits" :) Lots of men in suits

The 1/6 scale guns / pistols included looks like Smith & Wesson Schofields which Algren uses during his first battle with the samurai.

You can pre-order this set at TFH (The Falcon's Hangar). Pre-order closes 26-12-2011

  1. pretty cool. A little late butstill pretty cool. One cool movie for sure. (I LOVE that Japanese actress in the movie, she has a simple yet astonishing beauty to her. (in my opinion of course) One of the better Tom Cruise movies I like.
