To quote from another blogging buddy:
Tips on How To Be Speakin' Pirate-Like:Marcus has great pictures of Playmobil, one of my favourites too BUT have managed to stay clear except for some relevant figures.
Double up on all your adjectives and you'll be bountifully bombastic with your phrasing. Pirates never speak of "a big ship", they call it a "great, grand ship!" They never say never, they say "No nay ne'er!"
Drop all your "g"'s when you speak and you'll get words like "rowin'", "sailin'" and "fightin'". Dropping all of your "v"'s will get you words like "ne'er", "e'er" and "o'er".
Instead of saying "I am", sailors say, "I be". Instead of saying "You are", sailors say, "You be". Instead of saying, "They are", sailors say, "They be". Ne'er speak in anythin' but the present tense!
Hot Toys' Movie Masterpiece Pirates of the Caribbean series is one of the best they've produced by far. Heck, almost everything Hot Toys touches these days turn to gold. Pirates' treasures they be, RICH it'll make them. I've already covered these earlier but it's always nice to put them together for group shots.
Cannibal King Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" by Hot Toys. Full review here. The head sculpt of Johnny Depp is SPOT ON and with the beautifully sculpted head piece, his crown, makes this one of the most desirable piece

Then there's Sao Feng, played by none other than Mister Chow Yun-Fat who also starred in "The Corruptor (1999)"
And then there's Davy Jones! Hot Toys managed to achieve articulation even with his barnacle covered attire. Great combination of materials to get the overall look IMHO
You gotta love his octopus head and his tentacles beard. They look like they are all moving on their own at the same time
Hot Toys' first release of Captain Jack Sparrow was nice but the sculpt wasn't what it should be. They didn't manage to catch the essence of Johnny Depp as Jack. They did better with their second release, Cannibal King Jack.
Johnny Depp will reprise his role in a yet unnamed fourth instalment of "Pirates of the Caribbean". But news that Eddie Murphy will play the role of The Riddler in the next Batman movie (tentatively called "Gotham") ended speculation that Johnny Depp was in line for the role :( If anyone could be as great a villain as Heath Ledger was as The Joker in "The Dark Knight", it could've been Johnny Depp. Shia LeBeouf is reportedly said to have signed up to play Robin. That's the second time he has played sidekick - first was sidekick to Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones in "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". Rachel Weisz is rumoured to be in line to play Catwoman.
the list is getting cooler and cooler my guru, good to bump into you near TFH yesterday.
