Indiana Jones and the attack of the clones

Now that all the Indiana Jones have been released, let's line them up and shoot them

Indiana Jones by Kenner, released in 1983

Toys McCoy Indiana Jones, released 1999 (that's almost ten years ago!) but with accessories from Relic Hunter (including the saber he acquired in "Temple of Doom", a sequel so dark and scary a PG-13 rating was created) and fedora hat from Hasbro's Talking Indy

Relic Hunter - not an official Indiana Jones figure but who else can he be? You don't have to be a Professor in Archeology to know the answer :) The Relic Hunter's hat was really really bad so he's wearing Talking Indy's hat instead.

Hasbro's whipping Indy

Medicom Indy - I like Medicom's Indy except for his scrawny body which makes the head look big but with the jacket on, he looks much better. Also, I love the accessories, especially all the artifacts and most of all, you have to get Junior if you are already also eyeing Henry Jones Sr. They look GREAT together :)

Sideshow Indy - value for money. Sideshow's Indy is good enough if you can only spend on one.

I give you the South American Idols, from left to right: Kubrick Golden Idol, Medicom's, Sideshow's and lastly, Hasbro's

Kubrick Indy

Kubrick and Lego Indy

Lego Indy and Henry Jones Sr

That's all folks :)

LOL. I love the old Kenner Indy. I especially like the fact that he dould probably use his hat as a life raft (in case he ever needs to escape from another plane). Are those all his original accessories? Or were those ones you had to replace? I haven't seen my figures pistol and bullwhip since 3 minutes after I opened the figure's package Christmas morning of '82!

thanks ken :)

Hi dash, Kenner Indy was GREAT fun - came out as a toy and not a collectible and he's the FIRST!! His hat could probably double up as a parachute too - LOL. I added the bag because he didn't come with one and the coiled whip is a recent addition. I still have the original but it won't stay coiled.

Hi Adrian, me BIG BIG fan of Indy ;p

ah mister shaun, you know me only too well :> just couldn't resist putting them all together for a shot

The 5th installment is out, Indiana Jones and the Clone Wars.....

Both Medicom and Sideshow look brilliant, although the Sideshow headscrupt maybe slightly better, there's more attitude to it.

hey tony, gotta agree that Sideshow's is value for money but i had to have medicom's indy to go with their Henry. now i gotta find me a 21st century toys' German motorbike with sidecar to plonk them in :P

I'm a big fan of the vintage Indy made by Kenner. I agree the hat isn't exactly flattering. Does anyone know if the hats belonging to any of the recent 12" Indy releases will fit him?

hi, the biggest hat right now is Hasbro's Talking Indy hat which I've used on both Toys McCoy Indy and Relic Hunter but it is still too small to fit Kenner Indy's BIG head.

Wow. This collection absolutely pwns. I've been a fan of Indy ever since LucasArts' Fate of Atlantis back in '92. The movies were something I watched after the spin-off games. :3

Why Medicom doesn't use their bulkier RAH body which we know they have? The short, regular RAH body doesn't fit everyone. (e.g. while it looks alright on Peter Parker, Indy's build is bigger than that.)

thanks michelle, for making me feel old, talking about '92. i saw indy on the big screen in '81, that's 11 years earlier - LOL!

don't even get me started on Medicom - bunch of incompetent people - who know what goes on in those weird minds of theirs. the things they do defy reason - their Star Wars line is a prime example - SIGH!

anyhoo, thanks for popping by ;p

Awesome pix! Noticed that your Kenner 12" Indy has the "light tan" boots, as opposed to the brown boots. Mine also has the lighter boots, although I've seen plenty more Kenner Indys with dark boots. Do we have a boot variation, or did our boots just fade over time?

Hi Pete, me thinks the boots faded over time and it isn't a boot variation. Thanks for looking :) CHEERS
