And from Hot Toys comes their latest Movie Masterpiece Series - MMS103, a 1/6th scale Wolverine Limited Edition Collectible Figurine from the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie which was released at the end of last year.
Hot Toys has wowed us with their box packaging in the past but this time round, they opted for something really simple - the packaging is basically a shoe box. There's a shot of the claws on the front (above picture) and a shot of the 1/6 Hugh Jackman Wolverine (everyone's favorite mutant) on the back of the box.
Lift up the cover just like a shoe box and there's a card over the tray that holds the Wolverine collectible figure with a short description: Wolverine is a mutant who possesses the ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. His natural healing also affords him virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases. Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses, making him capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than a normal human's.
According to their website, this Hot Toys 1/6th scale human mutant features: Life-like head sculpt with authentic likeness of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the newly developed Hot Toys hirsute muscular figure body with over 30 points of articulation, stands approximately 30 cm tall and wearing his movie accurate costume consisting of brown leather jacket, maroon colored shirt, undershirt, jeans and boots. Wolverine comes with real-like Wolverine Origins adamantium claws (real metal) and his accessories include: dog tags and a leather-like belt with detailed buckle, two pairs of interchangeable hands and figure base with Wolverine nameplate and the movie logo
Many people have said that the head sculpt doesn't look like Hugh Jackman but IMHO he certainly looks one hundred percent WOLVERINE!!! I cannot imagine how else Logan (Wolverine) would look like after Hugh Jackman had played him. He nailed the character down to a "T". Hot Toys had tweaked the head sculpt from their original prototype shots and the improved look certainly shows.
Close-up of the 1:6 dog tags belonging to Logan (Wolverine). One tag has Wolverine engraved on it and the other has Logan. Both tags have serial numbers and the initials "US" at the bottom right corner. One is worn on a long ball chain around the neck; the second on a much smaller chain attached to the first chain. In the event the wearer is killed, the second tag is collected and the first remains with the body for identification purposes, hence ID tag.
In the comics, Wolverine was a superhuman agent of the Canadian government, after undergoing the super-soldier program Weapon X to bond the near indestructible metal alloy adamantium to his skeleton and claws. In the film version, both brothers are Americans and they join Team X, a group of mutants including marksman Agent Zero, mercenary Wade Wilson, teleporter John Wraith, invincible Fred Dukes and electrokinetic Chris Bradley.
The Red Indian Chief belt buckle is a hoot. After leaving Team X, Logan (Hugh Jackman) is shown six years later in Canada with his girlfriend, Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins), who happens to be a Native Canadian Blackfoot or Niitsítapi (meaning "original people").
A closer look at the 1:6 brown leather jacket given to Logan by the elderly couple (they look suspiciously like Jonathan and Martha Kent) before they are shot dead by Zero.
Always concerned with leather attire in Singapore's hot and humid weather. We'll just have to wait and see if it'll stand the test of time.
The 1:6 brown leather jacket is very well produced with fine stitching and details
Wolverine's / Logan's cowboy boots

Glad that you scored this figure :)
yeah desmond, quite pleased with Logan, otherwise known as James Howlett :)
Alex, I am too baffled by most who commented how the headsculpt doesn't really looked like Jackman...he's Jackman thru and thru IMHO...my wife confirmed this the moment she first laid eyes on him when we opened the box...LOL!
yah i know. who else can he be? SIGH some people are just never satisfied
WOW, cool figure, love the headsculpt, and he DOES look like Hugh. I have mine in pre-order, and hope to get him in the next couple of weeks. Lucky you that you live so close to Hong Kong, here in Philadelphia (US), they take a little longer to arrive. Anyway great great figure. I like that even the ID tags are in scale... great figure again.
Thanks carlos, glad yours is on the way to you. Here in Singapore, we are lamenting that those in Hong Kong get to pick up theirs first before we do BUT you've just put things in perspective for me Ha! Ha! ENJOY the toy >_<
