DID WWII 2nd Ranger Marksman "Private Daniel" Review II

Continued from the previous post

Here's DiD 1/6 scale 12-inch Second World War US Army 2nd Ranger Marksman "Private Daniel" (with Barry Pepper likeness as he appeared in "Saving Private Ryan") wearing Wool Cap, M41 Jacket over his wool shirt, dog tags, Garand Ammo Belt, HBT trousers, and Leggings over his standard low top leather lace-up boots. He's armed with the superbly produced 1/6 scale wood and metal M1903A4 Sniper Rifle.

"Private Daniel" comes with two sets of hands so that he can either be a left or right handed shooter (Barry Pepper’s character was left handed). I've posed him as a right handed marksman.

And here are the rest of his gear: M1 Helmet with plastic inner liner and Helmet Netting, Gas Mask Bag, Gas Shoulder Brassard, Garand Ammo Belt, Abdomen Life Vest, Ranger Assault Vest with his entrenching tool in cover, trench knuckle knife in sheath, water canteen and cover, M1911 .45 pistol and first aid pouch, and .30 Cal Ammo Bandoleer.

There was no way I could get the tiny hooks of the items to fit into the ammo belt so I did what rangers do, attach the items to the assault vest via the holes made for that purpose.

And here's the fully kitted out 2nd Ranger Marksman "Private Daniel"

The 1/6 scale Ranger Assault Vest is very well produced and probably the most detailed one ever made. The fasteners are very accurate and functional too. The rest of his gear is equally stunning. Full marks to DiD for a job well done :)

He can now join his comrades Private First Class James Francis Ryan (Matt Damon) and Captain John H Miller (Tom Hanks) from "Saving Private Ryan"

Other Barry Pepper head sculpts I already reviewed: US Navy SEAL Recon (Nam) figure, World War II 101st Airborne NCO (Staff Sergeant) figure.
