Hot Toys MMS DX01 The Joker REVIEW III

More on the Joker as Gotham City cop (I just can't get enough of this guy - see previous post)

More pictures of Hot Toys MMS DX01 1/6 scale 12-inch THE JOKER (Heath Ledger) from "The Dark Knight" posing as a Gotham City Police Department police honor guard in his attempt to assassinate the Mayor even as the city's finest pour out onto the streets to honor their fallen, including Commissioner Loeb (Colin McFarlane).

The Hot Toys DX01 Joker in his full police get-up which comprises: GCPD police peaked cap, white inner shirt, black tie, police jacket with brass buttons and GCPD patch, police badge with ribbons and decorations, pants and shiny polished dressed shoes, and armed with a 1/6 scale M1 Garand rifle with ceremonial white sling while standing on the Hot Toys MMS DX figure display stand (comes with LED lights)

You can make out the on/off switch located at the rear of the display stand with a slot for the extendable arm. I don't like using the arm as I much prefer my 1/6 figures to be free standing as they look more natural and realistic.

The deluxe figure stand has LED lights which can be adjusted to face any direction you so desire. Unfortunately this is the first time that Hot Toys has not included the three AAA batteries required.

I'd covered the entire outfit earlier. Now let's examine the police hat and all the other stuff in finer detail. The police peaked cap I got is slanted i.e. it is not balanced nor even on both sides :(

1/6 scale Gotham City Police Department badge with ribbons and decorations and nice 1/6 scale US flag pin on his jacket collar. Notice that the pockets have blue trimmings. This is possible because the jacket interior has a blue silk-like lining.

Another view of the very well stitched police jacket which the Joker is wearing

Shoulder patch with the embroidered words "City of Gotham Police Department"

White gloved hands are part and parcel of any ceremonial uniform

Well polished dress shoes. As usual, Hot Toys figures have no feet, just straight molded shoes.

The 1/6 scale M1 Garand (officially the United States Rifle, Caliber .30, M1 - it was the first semi-automatic rifle to be generally issued to the infantry of any nation) by Hot Toys comes with amazing details. Pull back the Operating Rod reveals the M1 Garand "en bloc" clip loaded with eight .30-06 Springfield rounds

The M1 Garand rifle with "en bloc" clip (loaded with eight .30-06 Springfield rounds) removed. Since funeral procession guns are blank converted or fitted with blank adapters (they could lack both but these guns clearly fire in semi-automatic), the guns are either following the movie myth that blanks and live rounds both work in live guns, or they removed the adapters and are firing live rounds into the air for the first two volleys!

Next: Classic Joker with improved & movie-accurate Joker costume of an overcoat, sport coat, vest, shirt, tie, suspenders, pants, socks and shoes. Plus PERS (Parallel Eyeball Rolling System)

Not one pic with the hat off? Disappointment.

For pictures with the hat off, please see the previous post - http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2009/11/hot-toys-mms-dx01-joker-review-ii.html

for someone who can write, you certainly can't read very well. it's clearly stated that this isn't the only review of the cop joker - disappointed? SIGH the nerve of some people
