The James Bond film series remains one of the longest continually running film series in history, having been in ongoing production from 1962 to 2010 with a six-year hiatus between 1989 and 1995. In that time EON Productions has produced 22 films, at an average of about one every two years. The films have grossed just over US$12 billion (in inflation adjusted dollars) at the worldwide box office, making it easily the highest-grossing film series ever.

This is the 1999 released Action Man Limited Edition James Bond Agent 007 12-inch collector's figure from "The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)". "The Spy Who Loved Me" is the tenth spy film in the James Bond series, and the third to star Roger Moore as the fictional secret agent James Bond.

The inside flap reads: "For many 007 fans "The Spy Who Loved Me" is the defining Roger Moore James Bond film. The opening sequence from which this figure was inspired ends with Bond skiing straight off a cliff, seemingly into oblivion - only to open a parachute cheekily bearing a huge Union Jack flag."
Action Man 1:6 scale James Bond Agent 007 12-inch action figure inside the box, posed in a skiing position. In the film, Bond's ski pole doubles as a gun which he uses to engage his pursuers who are Russian agents.
Action Man Limited Edition James Bond Agent 007 12-inch collector's figure comes with ski cap, ski goggles, polo neck sweater, yellow ski suit, rucksack, gloves, ski boots, ski poles and skis.

Here's the Action Man James Bond Agent 007 figure out of the box.

Bond without his ski goggles and cap.
Surprise! This figure looks nothing like any of the actors who had played James Bond. In this case, it should be Roger Moore who played James Bond between 1973 and 1985, appearing in seven Bond films. That's because this is Action Man, doubling up as James Bond whilst he attends to other duties :)
As the box describes "The Spy Who Loved Me": The fantastic aquatic Lotus Esprit became an icon of the time (click on the picture for a bigger and better view), as did JAWS (Richard Kiel), arguably the most popular Bond villain ever. As for romantic interest KGB Agent XXX, Bond makes very good East-West relations in true 007 style ;p

I will certainly feel cheated if it was not roger moore looking.
Action Man made it clear from the start (cover and back pictures) that this figure wasn't going to look like the actor but more of a movie-inspired figure so that buyers / collectors would know what they are getting; just like a lot of the Barbie figures (e.g. X-files Barbie Dana Scully & Fox Mulder couple, Lord of the Rings Ken figures and other similar movie-inspired figures). It was only until recently that life-like realistic head sculpts were possible :)
