B is also for Bane

Bane was a chemically-boosted assassin, once hired by Rupert Thorne to kill Batman. The man later known as Bane was an inmate of Pena Duro, a Cuban prison meant to contain the hardest, most dangerous convicts.

He was chosen as a test subject for "Project Gilgamesh," a government project to create super-soldiers with a new "super-steroid", Venom. (Bane's origin sounds a lot like what happened to Steve Rogers as well. In the Marvel universe, Steve Rogers is a sickly young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States war effort. And that's how Captain America was created.)

The experiment that transformed Bane was too successful that he couldn't be stopped - the unstoppable juggernaut Bane escaped Cuba, stealing the formula for Venom with him, and hired out his services as a freelance assassin.

In "Batman: The Animated Series", Bane came close to "breaking" Batman. Batman defeated Bane by jamming a Batarang into his Venom distributor, giving him a dangerous Venom overdose.

Bane is one of Batman's most notorious foes from the DC Comics, having achieved what none of his other foes ever did: he defeated Batman in combat, beating him into submission and breaking his back.

Check out the massive Mattel 5.5-inch (14cm) tall Bane action figure reviewed HERE followed by Mattel's Bane facing off against Batman - Bane vs Batman. The pictures show the size differences between Bane and Batman.

Bane's mask and outfit / costume looks very much like that of Mexican luchadores. Check out the only 1:6 scale Mexican Luchador 12-inch figure I have HERE
