Bane by Mattel

Bane is best known for breaking Batman's back in the DC Comics "Knightfall" story arc. In the story, Bane fights Batman in the Batcave, defeats him and delivers the final blow: he breaks Batman's back and leaves him paraplegic, thereby having been the only man to have "Broken the Bat".

In most other media adaptations of the character, Bane is more simplistic and thuggish than his highly intelligent comic book counterpart. The most notable example is in the 1997 film "Batman & Robin", where the character is a mindless goon. The character was portrayed by Robert Swenson in the film.

A different version of Bane is depicted in "The Batman" animated series (2004-08). This version of Bane is seen possessing an athletic body before pumping himself with Venom. After doing so, he transforms into a huge hulking brute with red skin.

I like the bulk they gave Bane in "The Batman" animated series and Mattel's spot-on interpretation and realization of Bane as an action figure. He also looks so much like a wrestler from the World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE). Typical of those body builders who cannot bring their arms down to their sides anymore. He also looks like the Red Hulk or Rulk in the Marvel comics.

Bane all PUMPED up!

What I've covered thus far:
The Batman by Mattel, Mattel Bruce Wayne to Batman transformation, Mattel The Joker, Man-Bat, Batman & Man-Bat face-off... more to come.
