Lieutenant Commander Shepard is the human protagonist of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, whose gender, appearance, skills and pre-service history are all customizable and have an impact on the story. Shepard was born on April 11, 2154, is a graduate of the Systems Alliance N7 special forces program (service no. 5923-AC-2826), and is initially assigned to the SSV Normandy as Executive Officer. Shepard later becomes the first human to join the Spectres, an elite special task force for the Citadel Council. {source: masseffectwiki}
This is the upcoming release by Flirty Girl Collectibles: SBA2012 Space Battle Armor Set consisting of four different armor sets: SBA2012-1 GREY, SBA2012-2 WHITE, SBA2012-3 RED and SBA2012-4 GOLD. It will retail at USD89 (shipping not included). You can certainly tell where Flirty Girl got their inspiration for making this space battle armor set.
Flirty Girl Collectibles 1/6th scale SBA2012 Space Battle Armor set will come with 20 Separate Armor Pieces with Adjustable Elastic straps, Space Battle Helmet with Translucent Front Visor, Black Zip Up Bodysuit, Black Fabric Boots, Combat Lug Sole Boot feet (Designed to fit Cy Girl, Phicen, Triad Toys and TTL style Ankle Cups), Combat Boot Armor Plate, Armored Hand Set, Combat Blaster Rifle
Note: 1/6th scale head sculpt and 12-inch female figure body is not included in this set (shown on a triad medium bust alpha)
I am not comfortable with the torso as it looks rather rigid and stiff. This might impede movement and articulation. If they had done the torso in more than one piece i.e. chest piece followed by abdomen piece and maybe even a crotch piece, that would have allowed for more flexibility and pose-ability. Right now all I can see is a very rigid upright statuesque figure without much action poses :(
If you were to look at InFlames 1/6th scale Metal Boss (Battle Armor version) 12-inch collectible figure (posted HERE), you will see that the chest and abdomen are two separate pieces and it doesn't have a crotch guard so that allows for some poseability which is more than what I can say for this space battle armor set with its rigid chest / torso and back armor.
Flirty Girl Collectibles didn't even try to pose their space battle armor in more dynamic poses to show off the armor and its flexibility (if any). While the armor set looks nice (I especially like the grey version), I am not sure how it will perform when it's all put together. A pity really, since I was sold on their EMERSON 12-inch female figure character set (see my review HERE)
