Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Scar Predator Collectible Figure from the Alien vs. Predator movie. The movie-accurate Scar Predator collectible is specially crafted based on his image in the movie, highlighting the newly developed head sculpt, highly detailed body armor, weapons and accessories, as well as detachable light-up mask.
It's a case of deja vu ;p This is a re-release Predator figure as Hot Toys had released this "Aliens vs Predator" Hot Toys 1/6th scale Scar Predator 14-inch figure back in 2006. You can check out my post HERE for the original first version Scar Predator which is one of my toy blog posts with the most number of hits / page loads. I believe the reason why Hot Toys is re-releasing this Scar predator again is because they are only interested in the dollar sign - "ching ching" cash registers are ringing! With so many figures from so many acquired movie licenses still waiting to be released, Hot Toys decides to re-release an older figure because they know there's a strong demand and it's easier to make the money because they already have the designs and molds. Didn't they re-release the Iron Man Mark I recently? There's also the re-release of The Terminator DX figure, Batman The Dark Knight DX figure and the upcoming Heath Ledger Joker DX figure. How many versions of the same figure does one need? How about something new for a change?

I completely agree with you on the lack of Hot Toys diversity (still waiting for a Sin City Marv and my wish may come true with the new movie in the works)but very pleased to see re-releases of figures that were terribly out of scale the first time around. I sold all of my original predators for just that reason. Definitely way past due on retiring the Iron Man line :).
Great, can save some cash. :P I hope they can release something different. If they can do Lord of the Ring, I will be over the moon. :D
I didn't much HT figures this year, mainly bought Dark Knight Rises and Captain America, sold Iron Man series, just keep Iron Monger. Skip Avengers except Captain America. Though I am tempting to get DX10, and really like DX13.
I HOPE I HOPE I HOPE they do Liam Nesson's- Ras Al Ghul- from Batman begins!! There's a knock off you previewed recently that looks OK but every penny saved is a penny I can use on the HOT TOYS version which will be an arm and a leg if they ever decide to do it, WHICH THEY HAVE TO!!!!!!!! As my display space is being stressed to a CRITICAL point there's key word I use now when deciding on a potential purchase and that's "SHELF APPEAL" and another Predator at this point would be just another shrub in the yard for me LOL
