How fast time flies. It's already almost the end of June which means we are passing the mid year and cruising towards the end of 2016 very soon. Hope your year has been good so far :)
My June 2016 haul comprises: Hot Toys MMS300D11 Movie Masterpiece Series Die-cast "Avengers: Age of Ultron" 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark XLV Collectible Figure, THREEQ 1/6th scale CITIES RANGER aka Stephen Amell as Green Arrow 12-inch figure, PHICEN Ltd PL2015-M31 1/6th scale Super-Flexible Male Seamless Body and Bandai Tamashii Exclusive Star Wars Movie Realizatio Akonaze Royal Guard action figure.
I am quite excited with this latest haul as Mark XLV is only my sixth Iron Man figure. I didn't bother with the rest of the Iron Man suits before this but I'm finally assembling the Avengers from Age of Ultron so this latest suit of armor will do nicely. I'm also glad to get my hands on THREEQ 1/6th scale CITIES RANGER 12-inch figure which is based on the ARROW television series on the DC Comics character Green Arrow. The series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who, five years after being stranded on a hostile island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Then there's the PHICEN Ltd PL2015-M31 1/6th scale Super-Flexible Male Seamless Body, a new addition to the previously released PL2015-M30 which I have already raved about in my action figure review posted on my toy blog HERE. Finally, there's the Bandai Tamashii Exclusive Star Wars Movie Realizatio Akonaze Royal Guard action figure, a Samurai inspired Star Wars action figurine by Tamashii Nation.

Hot Toys MMS300 D11 Movie Masterpiece Series Die-cast "Avengers: Age of Ultron" 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark XLV Collectible Figure comes in a very large box. The box measures 9.4-inch (24cm) L x 7.5-inch (19cm) W x 16-inch (41cm) H and is also quite heavy because a lot of the contents are die-cast. It looks most impressive.
Inside the box lying in its foam tray is the die-cast 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark XLV Collectible Figure. Below the box is the accessories tray which contains a very nicely crafted diorama base with a detachable damaged Ultron Sentry (Prime) plus the rest of the accessories, including batteries packed separately, something that ThreeA doesn't bother to include in all its products and it can be quite a pain to find the right battery type when you just want to see if the light features work.
Here's a teaser pic of the Hot Toys 1/6th scale Mark XLV figure. Full action figure review to follow soon. In the meantime, you can check out the preview pictures posted HERE
The THREEQ 1/6th scale CITIES RANGER 12-inch figure comes in a very simple box packaging. It even looks rather undersized when placed next to the Hot Toys Mark XLV box.
The reason why the box is smaller than usual is because the figure is packed and shipped without his boots on. This is a first for me as I've not come across a figure in the box without his boots on. I'm glad ThreeQ chose to produce the Green Arrow from Season 2 as the Season 3 Arrow showed too much arm for my liking. I was sold when I saw the preview pics (posted on my toy blog HERE).
The 1:6 scale head sculpt of Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen / Green Arrow looks pretty good
Next up: PHICEN Ltd PL2015-M31 1/6th scale Super-Flexible Male Seamless Body. This is the second version which was previewed earlier HERE. The first Super-Flexible Male Seamless Body (PL2015-M30) was more muscular and looks a lot like a body builder (reviewed HERE) whereas this latest version looks more like a regular guy who is fit but not overly muscular. The first body was shorter at 29cm whereas this newer body will be 31cm tall from head to toe.
This newer body doesn't come with any penis unlike the first version which came with three different size penises. That's okay because I do not see the need for them nor will I be attaching any of them on the figure as I don't see the purpose of having a 12-inch figure with a dick since he will be clothed all the time. This PL2015-M31 figure also comes with two additional pair of hands. PL2015-M30 only had two pairs in total.
Last but not least, there's the Bandai Tamashii Exclusive Star Wars Movie Realizatio Akonaze Royal Guard action figure, a Samurai inspired Star Wars action figurine by Tamashii Nation. The Red Guard, nicknamed Redrobes, was chosen from the ranks of the Senate Guard and were charged with the protection of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine prior to and during the Clone Wars. Following the abolition of the Republic, the Red Guard became the new Emperor's Royal Guard.
Bandai Tamashii Exclusive Star Wars Movie Realizatio Akonaze Royal Guard action figure box contents: additional gloved hands, force pike and samurai sword plus robe. The armor of the Royal Guard reflected the armor of the Mandalorian Death Watch and the Thyrsus Sun Guards. It consisted of plated crimson armor of an unknown composition, overlaid with voluminous robes, presumably to conceal weaponry.
