The release of Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to the 1982 released Blade Runner has brought the attention back to the neo-noir science fiction film first directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford as "blade runner" Rick Deckard, whose job was to track down bioengineered beings known as replicants and "retire" (i.e. kill) them.
Set in a dystopian Los Angeles in 2019, the story depicts a future in which synthetic humans known as replicants are bioengineered by the powerful Tyrell Corporation to work on off-world colonies. When a fugitive group of replicants led by Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) escape back to Earth, burnt-out LA cop Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) reluctantly accepts one last assignment to hunt them down. During his investigations, Deckard meets Rachael (Sean Young), an advanced replicant who causes him to question his mission.
Following news that Redman Toys will be releasing 1/6th scale Blade Rick and Blade Roy 12-inch collectible figures, essentially Deckard and Batty (see the toy blog post HERE) and recasts of Brother Production figures released back in 2009, I thought I'll take the opportunity to post pictures of the 2009 released Brother Production 1/6th scale Blade Hunter 12-inch figure in this entry.
